Do a majority of Tea Party members and Tea Party activists support raising the minimum wage? According to a segment on MSNBC, the answer is yes. However, if you actually ask leaders of some of the largest Tea Party organizations that question, the answer is a resounding, No!
About 1:38 minutes into the segment, former congressman and frequent MSNBC contributor Harold Ford stated, Chuck Todd said the majority of Tea Party members support an increase in the minimum wage.

THEY haven’t the foggiest idea what the Tea Party is and so they can make these inane statements.
MSNBC is a liar organ. Know what I mean?
Well, according to MSNBC, the TEA Party are low information and racis homophobes, so how can the MSNBC audience even consider heeding the TEA Party?
they are the worst.
PMSNBC far outstrips the left leanings of CBS, ABC and CNN combined.
the left never stops trying to tell us what we think
I am not in the majority.
I do not support raising the minimum wage and starting a new inflationary cycle.
This MSNBC segment is attempting to claim that TEA party members only pretend to want a higher minimum wage, as if not being in favor of a higher minimum wage is somehow something disreputable. Like all liberals, they assume that there is no downside to constantly raising the minimum wage, ignoring the negative effects on those just entering the workforce and those with few skills. You know, the folks liberals always pretend to love. Fortunately, because MSNBC is only preaching to the leftist choir, their assertions are meaningless and few watch this propaganda network.
Oh yeah, Chuck Todd speaks for us.
More Hugo award winning writing from MSNBC. I don’t think they’d know a Tea Party member if one walked up and introduced himself
I sincerely doubt that anyone at MSNBC even knows how to spell Tea
MSNBC belongs in the sewer with he rest of the slime. Take a look of their reporters and their guests. Sooner or later their three viewers will get tired of their slime reporting and move on to watching a more informative station like the TV test pattern.
Not only should it not be raised, but this tea partier believes it shouldn’t exist.
I am a member of the TEA party, and if I owned a business, I’d probably support a raise as well.
It’s called: “Off your ass, on your feet and do your job”.
Why would they say that? Trap us. LOL
Why should they not LIE about the minimum wage?
The real question is, did anyone call him out about his LIE when he LIEd?
Since one cannot call the “Tea Party” on the phone and ask to speak to a spokesperson, how can they verify this?
funny- they lie about us in an effort to shame us now they lie about us in an effort to show support for their agenda...
shows the Tea Party not as irrelevant as the left wing media want people to believe....
I’m in favor of raising the minimum wage. Heck, if $15 is good, think how good $50 per hour would be. Damn greedy corporations. /sarc
I wish I had a (very high-paying) job where I could just make up sh*t. sigh
Incidentally, in Communist Massachusetts, where I live, there were some people collecting signatures to raise the minimum wage in the
Communist Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I argued with one of the Commies trying to wage the minimum wage and he argued that there were these secret squirrel studies that show the minimum wage leads to decreased unemployment. I made deprecating gestures to let this guy know I thought what he was saying was bogus. I then closed with the basic law of economics where I said that if you raise the price of something you get less of it. The price of labor is wages and if one raises wages; i.e., prices, one is going to get less of it. I know he wouldn't listen to me, but at least I wanted to be perhaps the only dissident voice in the Communist Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Harold Ford heard it from Chuck Todd who heard it from...
Has anyone ever suggested lowering the MAXIMUM wage. There was a big flap locally about Walmart coming to town. I checked Forbes CEO Compensation on Google and found that the Walmart CEO’s salary is $20 million a year. This does not include his company stock. Actually, the stockholders of Goldman Sachs did force the lowering of their CEOs salary when 43% of them voted in favor of a Stockholders’ Advisory on CEO Compensation. That scared the CEO enough to lower his salary from $74 million to a puny $26 million around ‘08 or ‘09.
Has anyone suggested it, are you joking. Only about a couple million leftists in last hundred years. Remember that guy with the funny goattee, VI Lenin, (shut up Donnie), he did. More up to date, the guy with the big ears, Obama, him too.
Okay. Its MSNBC. They do two things and two things only.
Spread hate and lie. So this seems to fall within their standards.
Uh, no MSNBC. Really MSNBC you can not simply go around making excrement up. It seems most of what spews from your studios is pure fantasy. Stop, it isn’t even remotely amusing anymore.
Also liberals want MSNBC to become a conservative network. Yeah, really...it's true. I got it from the same source that gave out this 'Tea Party' flash...
And if that's not surprising enough - in a second survey it was found 98% of liberals wanted Harold Ford fired. Strange world.
Yeah, when I want to know what Tea Partiers are thinking, I naturally go to PMSNBC.
Mentiroso, Mentiroso MSNBC
