Indian-populated area vote heavily socialist; didn’t these folks defeat John Thune in 2002, but he came back in 2004.

RE: Poll: Americans have little faith in government

Yep, but when push comes to shove, they vote for the politicians who want to increase the size of government anyway.

What you say you want and what you DO are two different things.

Exactly. Consider-
“The less government the better”: 50%

Yet

“We need a strong govt to handle today’s complex problems”: 57%

The agreements they made with the US government didn’t turn out so well for them.

IOW, no gubmint program is ever a failure-it’s just ‘underfunded’.

Too many Tea Partiers go wrong once they get to Washington.

I'm not aware of any far leftist rats that have become conservative.

The system clearly needs reform.

Follow the money.

They get to Washington -——all of a sudden hundreds of lobbyists fall on them offering all sorts of rewards.

“Americans enter 2014 with a profoundly negative view of their government, expressing little hope that elected officials can or will solve the nation’s biggest problems, a new poll finds.”

This is the problem. People looking to government to solve their problems.

Government creates more problems than it “solves”.

This article and a million like it identify our form of government as a democracy, the Founders equated democracy with mob rule. Our government, as Franklin replied when asked what kind of government have you given us said, A Republic, if you can keep it. He and the other Founders knew that there would be evil people who would try to turn our government into a democracy and also knew that the people could be easily swayed by an issue in the heat of the moment. That is why it was set up as a Representative Republic so that would not happen. Especially set up away from the emotion of the moment was the Senate, long the deliberative body of the congress, course not so much now.

The masses of dummies are being trained to believe this canard so the Commies have an easier route to final victory. The press are more than happy to help with this misinformation.

Just my 2 cents, and I hope this year is better then last.

The quality of scientific thought and basic logic is so low that I don’t know if I can trust anything.

“Poll: Americans have little faith in government”

It should be no faith in government.
