Nova at >$350, new.
The mossberg 715 series are simply mossberg “plinksters” dressed up in composite material as an AR 15 style rifle. They are fun, low cost but the quality will reflect the cost. They will routinely jam, but not misfire once the bullet is in the chamber. Yeap, that’s with a well maintained rifle, for all the effort that takes. In my experience, maintenance is extremely cumbersome and you sacrifice functionality for looks. Still, fun is fun and that is what you are buying when you get a mossberg 715.
I work for an Engineering firm that sometimes does government work. Some of this work is classified so we have an alarmed vault. Occasionally lightning strikes nearby will set off the alarm. We had this old guy who opened the office in the morning and opened the vault. One morning just as he arrived lightning set off the alarm. He was walking down the hallway toward the vault when the police arrived racking a shell into the shotgun. The old guy told me he couldn't take a crap for two days because his sphincter was so tight.
Thanks
