How Bob Grant got his start as told by Bob Grant.

The MSM employees, et al. blamed the emerging modern conservative movement for a "climate of hate" that led Oswald to assassinate JFK.

Joe Pyne was among the first victims of that nonsense that liberals do so well. It's what the left is trying to do to conservative talk show hosts still.

Grant took Pyne's place.

Pyne was very popular though I never knew his syndicated show while I lived in Cincinnati. I did like his short-lived TV show a couple of years after he was forced off radio. They will never admit it by Levin and Savage both copy Pyne IMO.

Wow, caught me completely off guard. My brother, Jimmy from Brooklyn, was a longtime caller to his show.

Grant was one of those who leave an empty space when they go, a space that can never really be filled.

New York radio was a unique and wonderful place back then, but is no longer.

I hope Long John and Shep are waiting to greet you.

Rest in peace.

The GREAT Bob Grant!I had feared that he had taken ill when he(inexplicably)disappeared from his 1:00pm-2:00pm Sunday show on WABC.I was a “FAN” for more than 20-years.I NEVER missed him and was listening when he predicted that the sole survivor of Ron Brown’s plane crash was Ron Brown. He was”The KING of Talk Radio”!!!!!”It’s Sick Out There And It’s Getting Sicker”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I lived in New Jersey, I used to listen to him on a reguar basis, first on WABC, then on WOR out of New York City. I don’t know if his program was ever carried in other parts of the country. If not, and you did not have the opportunity to hear his program, you missed out on one of the true greats in talk radio. Rest in peace, Mr. Grant.

RIP, Bob Grant. I guess that the idea of DeBlasio being NYC’s mayor was just too much for him.

He was indispensible in keeping Cuomo, Dinkins and Florio in check, and helped a lot in getting rid of the latter from my state - for which millions of people should be eternally grateful.

Though I moved from NJ to TX about 13 years ago, I can honestly say that I enjoyed listening to no one more than Bob Grant. I admired his courage for speaking his mind, even if sometimes he got too angry. That was just part of him, a human being like all the rest of us.

I will miss Bob. Thanks for the memories and for the example.
