Report: Ezra Klein to Leave WaPo After Jeff Bezos Kills $10M Dream Project
Breitbart.com ^ | 1/3/2014 | Warner Todd Huston

As new owner Jeff Bezos begins his tenure as the head man for the Washington Post, Wonkblog editor Ezra Klein is reportedly making plans to exit the paper after being denied funding for a pet project.

Klein built a media presence on the Internet, newspapers, and TV as a "wonk" at a young age. Now, he apparently wants to expand his reach in the media with an extensive new website that he wanted the Washington Post to fund.

Comment:Anytime Klein writes about Obama, it’s like reading a Tiger Beat story about Justin Bieber.

The comments at the bottom of the Breitbart article. There are 656 of them as I write.

I guess it wasn’t important enough to include, but what was this project he wanted someone else to fund?

It was a eight-figure ($10 mil at least) website that would produce "explanatory" journalism under the Post's rubric. Story HERE.

He’s got a home at MSNBC but he may not get paid for those guest appearances.

Hmmm. I am looking at the Breitbart article now... Perhaps the AdBlock or Ghostery apps are more effective than I originally thought, because other than the FoxLinks I do not see any comments. Oh, well. Thanks for the info anyways, mate.

My pleasure. Mind you, that is one of the most annoying websites on my bookmark list. You click on it, you get the obligatory exhortation to register, the wait for the ads to stream in, and heaven help you if you roll your mouse over one of them. The only thing it's missing in annoyance level is blasting sound from a video you don't want to see in the first place...

(sound of hyperventilating...)

What is "explanatory journalism"?

Is this where Marxists try to pass themselves off as journalists by "explaining" why social justice is the best way to go?

“Explanatory journalism” is the verbal anesthetic they plan to use while shunting the proles back down to nineteenth-century technology.

"costing eight figures,"

Who pays eight figures to design a website? Besides the Obama administration?

You can ask Ghostery to unblock comments by hovering over the little Ghostery icon where the comments usually are. It will give you the option to view comments “just this once” if you click on it.

Best wishes.

Found it. Ghostery was blocking disqus by default. I had to uninstall then reinstall it to enable disqus to work. It was enabled by default, so now I have learned to customize the settings before browsing with it.

Of course, now I have to work with it for a few days to disable only the most annoying of trackers and widgets on the browser. Thanks again for letting Me know that I was missing something on the webpage in question. Always good to know that part of the information I was looking for was not being displayed.

Verbal anesthetic...never heard of that but it sure fits for what the NYT tried to do with the benghazi story the other day. Yes...I’m sure Klein would be into that.

Klein, founder and father of the secret propaganda cabal “Journ-o-list,” was never a “health care wonk” in the sense he was an expert on the issue. On the contrary, he learned enough to throw around industry terms and make the prospect of socialized medicine SEEM as if there was some rational basis or science behind it. There wasn’t, and isn’t.

Klein is and was nothing more than a leftist propagandist. That he formed the “Journ-o-list” to “manage” the news by ensuring all the reporters put the same spin on stories and carefully dole out “facts” in a way the public could not “misunderstand” proves that beyond any argument or doubt.

Klein began backtracking on ObamaCare for the same reason some leftists will hedge on Stalin: they wish to argue that communism was not the problem, but rather its poor execution, and “pure communism has never been tried.” That’s what Klein wanted to do, maintain that nationalized health care was still good even if Obama is an incompetent buffoon. But he was bludgeoned back into the fold as leftist apostates always are - IF they don’t wish to be exiled forever.
