On MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry this morning, the host apologized for remarks she made on her show last weekend, a story first broken here at The Right Scoop. She apologized "without reservation or qualification" to the Romney family, and very emotionally to interracial families everywhere:

So the only group due an apology yet to hear one, and who will almost certainly never hear one, are Republicans across the nation, who are caricatured and characterized as obviously racist every single day, based solely on their party affiliation. Unfortunately, as we'll show later today in a follow-up post, the racist assumption about the right crops right back up in Harris-Perry's show only a few segments after the above clip.

Most American women have learned to cry to avoid the consequences of their actions. When confronted with truth for their reprehensible actions they go into a crying jag, especially women that are relatively decent looking and use their appearances to affect the men that are judging them. I see women cry to avoid paying a bill, get a traffic ticket, or just to avoid a direct confrontation; I even saw women in college put on crying jags to get a better grade. Ms. Hyphenated name is no different and fits the description to a T.

It’s a loony world we live in! I worked in a bookstore over the Christmas holiday and they actually hired a deaf woman to answer the phones. I’d have to duck down behind the counter to hide my laughter every time she picked up the phone and screamed “WHAAAATTTT???” down the receiver.

There is a white family in my town who adopted three black siblings. The father is probably in his middle fifties, and they are very well off. As I understand it, they have a grown daughter and they wanted to adopt. Being older adoptive parents may have limited their choices. They were offered the three siblings, now about 4, 8 and 10, (girl, boy, girl) as a set, and they took them.

The 8 year old plays on my grandson’s little league team, and dad and the sisters attend just about every game. They seem well adjusted and happy. I hate to think what the alternative for them would have been.
