Former first lady Barbara Bush will be discharged from Houston Methodist Hospital on Saturday, according to a tweet from Jim McGrath, family spokesman.
She was admitted to Methodist Hospital for “respiratory-related issues” on Monday, McGrath said.

Great family and great kids! Scott was my hero...I never knew a finer man.
Barbara is lucky she ain’t an everyday sheeple. Otherwise she would have been sent home sooner.
I always thought they were a class act. Sometimes I didn’t care for their politics, but it’s hard to agree 100% with anyone.
Compared to the klintoon family, the Bush’s were folks we could be proud of.
But I knew the Pierces...and they were fine folks. Very down to earth and absolutely no pretentions. Always desirous of doing the right thing!
When they first suspected mom was having some memory issues they asked her who he president if he US was. She shrugged her shoulders and said “I don’t remember, but I sure do like his wife!”
“So who’s his wife?”
“Mrs Bush!”
When we relayed this to the WH mom received a sweet personal note.
Have always appreciated the kind gesture.

Old age is not always fun—LOL!
Daddy asked me last week how he and I were related. I went through the usual and then told him I was born nine months to the day he returned from the South Pacific. Mom met him at the hotel on his way home. He smiled and replied. “ I remember that”.
They are a great hospital.

Understand on so many levels. Dad was in New Caledonia 13th air depot. Army air corp. every now and then he yells out in his sleep cursing the Japanese ! So sad
