MSNBC host offers tearful apology to Romneys (Save the tears racist idiot!)
cnn ^ | 1/4/2014 | Conor Finnegan

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry made a tearful apology to Mitt Romney’s family on her show Saturday, after she and a panel poked fun at a photo of the former Republican presidential candidate with his wife and 21 grandchildren by zeroing in on his adopted African-American grandson.

"Whatever the intent was, the reality is that the segment proceeded in a way that was offensive, and showing the photo in that context, of that segment, was poor judgment. So without reservation or qualification, I apologize to the Romney family," said the anchor at the open of her show, "Melissa Harris-Perry."

Harris-Perry became emotional as she went on to apologize to all "other families formed through transracial adoption," saying, "I am deeply sorry that we suggested that interracial families are in any way funny or deserving of ridicule."

She highlighted her own interracial background, as the daughter of an African-American man and a white Mormon woman. But, she said, families are always "off limits," and the Romneys' grandchildren should never have been a topic of discussion.

It’s only funny if you are making fun of a Conservative and the tears were to keep her Affirmative Action job.

Pray America is Waking

Tears indeed would be wasted on the coarse commentators that follow on to something like this.

They won’t be wasted on God, however.

God himself only knows where her heart is, but her own story, what little of it is here, seems telling to me. She may have been playing out a story which had appeared in her own life. She hated because she had learned hatred and thought in her sin that it was the right thing to do.

This could well be sincere. Hold the hoots and the catcalls please, and put your cynicism back on its dog leash. AFAIK, too little time has passed for any judgment to be made on the meaning of this.

God may BE waking America, but the call may not be what you think it is.

As I said yesterday, it would be an act of humility and class to voluntarily take a couple of weeks off without pay to demonstrate her sincerity. Not place to judge, but mere words flow pretty readily in situations like this.

I have been particularly spiritually sensitive over the last year or so, and have noticed God moving in ways that are counter-intuitive. They are counter-intuitive because we’re sinners and it’s been so long since there was anything like an effective nationwide gospel sweep. If it hit us in the face we might say “Wha-a-a?”

I see something coming on that might play out like the story of the prodigal son, and it’s going to be the liberals playing the role of that son. There will be a fattened calf party, and conservatives will be all bent out of shape, except for a few who (like me) got an inkling about what was coming.

Take your own words seriously: “No place to judge.” And act on them.

God himself says “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.”

Watch for fruit that would mean much more than a token, to follow. If it does then this was the hand of God at work.

It’s not matter of forgiving. That’s easy. It’s a matter of consequence that needs to be fulfilled regardless. That still needs to take place.

""Whatever the intent was..."

She says that like there was some outside, third party influence on her original intent.

I have an idea what the intent was: To bash anyone and anything outside your belief structure. That your embedded COLOR FIRST mindset was exposed in the dialog is the real revelation. And truthfully, her apology is hollow and meaningless, as she will still see the world through her race-colored glasses that still sit tightly upon her nose.

How about permitting Christ to take care of the consequences?

Which may be, now that she has been humbled, to bless what you are thinking must be cursed?

Another bigoted race pimp heard from. And she doesn’t have to worry that MessNBC will fire her for ridiculing a Republican family.

May God slap you in the face. And to spare me typing it in over and over, all who would (1) prematurely judge or (2) wish her curses.

This isn’t the first time she’s ridiculed someone because of race.

Well at least that’s a different angle.

We’ve created our own Pharisees and Sadducees here (FR), or maybe that is Jews and Samaritans.

It seemed logical enough at the beginning, but because the classification was not one that God wrought, it went off in self glorifying directions.

How would you react to a story of “the good liberal”? Like Jesus’ audience did to His story of “the good Samaritan” possibly.

What liberals are doing today often angers me. They waste. They blame. They steal. They kill. Quite godlessly.

What conservatives are doing today angers me more because they do it without even being godless as an excuse! Particularly they sell short God’s special redemptive plan which is what, 2000 years old as we count it in this mortal coil. Like the measure of Christianity was whether it engineers a nice country in this mortal coil rather than whether it brings people to the one who rebuilds all willing souls for a destination outside this world.

This is even worse. She says she wanted to celebrate diversity but her deep down racist liberal instincts made her naturally and easily join into the racist chatter as opposed to stopping it and demonstrating her “original” intent

Consider the background, though. This one seems to more closely parallel hers. Mormon? Mormon. Check.
