Action-movie star Steven Seagal says he is considering a run for Arizona governor.
The “Marked for Death” actor told KNXV-TV that he is considering a shot at the state’s highest office and has had a talk about the bid with the self-proclaimed toughest sheriff in America.

He’s a Pinko.
Just my opinion.
I’ve seen a couple threads on this, and am not yet clear whether Seagal is a Republican or a Democrat?
Anyone know for sure?
Won’t fly in AZ.
Every good politician can act, therefore, Segal doesn’t stand a chance.
Seagal is dumb as a rock.
Whatever his faults, he seems legit.
Just can’t yet figure out whether he’s in the GOP or a democrat.
I think he’s a Republican. But can’t say for 100%?
I don't care who you are, that's funny right there....
He’s on this non-liberal list:
He’s # 73
I often watch his movies, and have not once thought he’s a liberal.
I didn’t move from Arnie’s California to Arizona to get another bad actor for Governor.
We’ve had Ventura and Schwartzenkennedy. That should do us for a century or two.
At various times, he's told people he was a CIA killer, was hunted by CIA killers, was taught martial arts by shaolin monks, taught martial arts to shaolin monks.
He's a hitman rockstar spy ninja genius idiot who loves puppies and kills lions with his mind.
It can’t get any more crazy, and I bother to vote because? let’s see John McCain, clown, Trent Franks, clown, now Seagal, clown.
I’m not sure I agree with that.
Whatever Seagal may be, I don’t think he’s a clown.
Just my .02.
Even “On Deadly Ground”?
My sister was a high school classmate of his.
Sorry I never pay much attention to them, I’m not sure.
They mostly seem similar.
I really only mentioned it because it never seemed to me, that he was a liberal.
Still got her yearbook? It would be fun to post his graduating picture, get to read his goofy bio, what he said he intended to do with his life.
I’m kinda the same way.
That one in particular, was an Enviro-weenie slobberfest.
Might have just been a part for him, nothing more.
Yes, she has her yearbooks. It was Buena Park High School. She graduated in 1971. Not sure what year he graduated. Think maybe be was only there a year or two but I’m pretty sure he graduated from that school.
I often watch his movies, and have not once thought hes a liberal.
Most people that are hardworking and endured hardship aren’t. Seems like the spoiled, self-entitled, silver spoon brats have that market (liberas) cornered at the moment.
The story line in all of his movies were all retreads of the same two sentence script. Kinda like Rocky 1-6 except minus the drama on who would the boxing matches.
Correction: Except minus the drama on not knowing who’s going to win the boxing matches.
He can’t be any worse than their Senator...
I read that he was on Hollywierd’s most difficult to work with list. Just what Arizona needs is another “prima donna” politician!?!
Watch one of his tai chi exercise tapes, he’s a clown.
I’m sort of intrigued by this.
In my opinion, for whatever Seagal has as far as negatives, he seems pretty authentic.
(I might be way offbase, never paid a lot of attention to him before now)
But I see him as more than a simple Hollywood tough guy. He seems genuinely to be so.
Maybe it’s just effective press though.
We can do better than this! He’s no Reagan! We need a real conservative—not an acting conservative.
> He’s a hitman rockstar spy ninja genius idiot who loves puppies and kills lions with his mind.
In other words a friend of Chuck Norris who is accused of causing earthquakes when he does pushups...: )
I hope sheriff Joe tells him to keep his day job....
And pushes bullets with his mind to hit targets.
Heard him say that during that entertainingly awful show where they followed him around somewhere when he ‘served’ as a deputy somewhere.
You are FOS about Trent Franks.
“For example, Governor Seagal would undoubtedly be an immigration hawk: he told his interlocutor that he believed the biggest issue facing the US today was its open borders. “

Big-Time Liberal Pinko!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s exactly what I’ve been saying from the very beginning of this thread.
I’m not so sure of that. Read through the comments for some alternative perspective that might be more indicative of his true political colors.
But Arizona is not California. Yet.
Arpaiao is about as out-there as they get in Arizona. Part of his act is, well, an act. But he’s at least taken seriously within that act - translation: when he pulls the gun, no one thinks he isn’t planning to shoot.
Seagal is engaging in another publicity stunt. In California, that would be shrugged off - everyone’s running a con game here. In Arizona, it’s more normal: they’d simply laugh at him.
McCain gets elected by pretending to be the adult in the room, and points to his medals and POW status to back that up. There’s a lot of elderly folks in Mesa and Sun City who still buy that crap. He at least comes off as “real” to them, and to the rest of Arizona, if a bit wacked.
Seagal will get no points for being real. Or even being an Arizonan - just another carpetbagger. McCain had to overcome that - “the longest I lived anywhere was Hanoi” is how he did it.
Phoenix is not Los Angeles. In fact, it’s the cultural opposite. People move there from LA to get away from the mess that the screaming, shrieking crazed Left Liberals created there. And by “people”, I mean White working class.
And a lot of midwestern transplants who REALLY don’t buy the idea of a Hollyweird actor being governor - except if he were a straighter than straight guy like Reagan.
If Seagal wants to run for Mayor of Scottsdale or Cave Creek he might get somewhere. For Governor, Arizona will break for some straight arrow type - possibly a woman since they have done that 3 times now in the last 30 years.
But there’s only one I can think of...she lives part of the year in Scottsdale...and I think she plans on being a Senator...from a state that starts with an “A”. One of them...

LOL. Sorry? Ha ha! Obviously, it’s cynicism taken to a whole new level beyond that of Fudgepacker One.
He’s a self proclaimed “guns for me, but not for thee” kinda guy.
He’s a freak. No.
Is that an interrogatory or declarative?
He is a Libertarian, I believe. He and Sheriff Joe both are. He is pretty close with the Sheriff.
