Peter King: Paul 'doesn't deserve' to be a senator
The Hill ^ | January 5, 2014 | Russell Berman

Posted on 01/05/2014 2:52:04 PM PST by jazusamo

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) on Sunday said fellow Republican Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) “doesn’t deserve to be in the United States Senate” based on his accusations against the National Security Agency over its domestic spying program.

Appearing on Fox News, the hawkish former chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee launched a broadside against Paul, saying he was “totally uninformed or he’s part of that hate America crowd that I thought left us in the 1960s.”

Earlier Sunday, the more libertarian Paul defended his planned class-action lawsuit against the NSA and suggested that both James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, and the leaker Edward Snowden deserved to be in jail.

“Rand Paul does not know what he’s talking about,” King said. “And, Rand Paul is really spreading fear among the American people.”

“To me,” King continued, “he’s either totally uninformed or he’s part of that hate America crowd that I thought left us in the 1960s. In any event, he doesn’t deserve to be in the United States Senate for spreading that type of misperception and absolute lies, to be honest with you.”

Both King and Paul have said they are considering a campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

While Paul is a leading critic of the NSA, King is a staunch defender and said on Fox the spy agency “is doing exactly what it’s supposed to be doing.”

Earth to Peter King: Hey, Pete, you don’t get to decide who the US Senators from Kentucky are. The people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky decide that. And just in case you might be interested, the qualifications to be a US Senator are contained the in Constitution of the United States. Those qualifications are:
1. Be at least 30 years of age.
2. Be a citizen of the United States.
3. Be a resident of the state being represented when elected/appointed.
It seems to me that Senator Paul meets all three of those requirements.

If Peter King is that totally out of touch with the current composition of his political opposition I would say he should not be in politics period.

By the way Pete part of that hate America crowd currently resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington D.C. and he sides with you on this matter. Maybe you should get in touch with reality.

Peter King is a scumbag who wanted a law to make it a crime to possess a gun within 1000 feet of our noble congressmen.

Lets be fair with Saint Peter.

He loves America and thinks it could be even better if it weren’t for all these Americans running around.

“To me,” King continued, “he’s either totally uninformed or he’s part of that hate America crowd that I thought left us in the 1960s.

Apparently Peter King doesn't think that Obama and the Democrats are part of the hate America crowd. King thinks that all the hate America types had left us back in the 60's.

What other conclusion can a reasonable person draw from his above remark.

King gives himself away.

And he's too stupid to know it.

King, like the rest of the GOP knows where the power is going to lie as this velvet MarxoFascist coup solidifies it's power, and they will do anything and everything to make sure they share in it.

Where the power now lies

That says a lot about King’s sanity, as if someone who wants to kill congressmen would obey that law.

“Rand Paul does not know what he’s talking about,” King said.

Funny, that's one of the nicer things I think about you, King.

“hate America crowd” King sounds more like a democrat, but then he is from NY. King appears to be for the government spying on Americans, which is totally contrary to the Constitution. So, King, who is really the hate America guy.

IMO, Pete King doesn’t deserve to be a U.S. Representative, but both eh and Senator Paul were elected by their constituents.

This is why Conservatives have no chance of reforming government from within. As soon as we elect somebody that is Conservative, the air or the water in Versailles on the Potomac rots their brains. Look at Pat Toomey. Look at Peter King. Look at Juan McCain. The list goes on.

The alternative is becoming increasingly dark.

A statement like that puts King somewhere in the Barbara Boxer IQ range.

Yet another example of the Republican northeastern establishment attacking a more conservative member of the party.

If only they went after the liberals with such fervor.

It’s obvious. Peter thinks the NSA has some personal info on him that he doesn’t want leaked.

Peter needs to be thrown out just to avoid confusion with the patriotic Steve King.

That's why I call them Kapos. They're nothing but mewling cowards who throw themselves at the feet of the enemy so they can beg to do anything to avoid the camps with the little people.

Look at Peter King.

Are you, perhaps, confusing Long Island's Peter King with Iowa's Steven King?

Peter King has always been a limousine liberal, while Steven King remains solidly conservative.
