Peter King: Paul 'doesn't deserve' to be a senator
The Hill ^ | January 5, 2014 | Russell Berman

Posted on 01/05/2014 2:52:04 PM PST by jazusamo

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) on Sunday said fellow Republican Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) “doesn’t deserve to be in the United States Senate” based on his accusations against the National Security Agency over its domestic spying program.

Appearing on Fox News, the hawkish former chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee launched a broadside against Paul, saying he was “totally uninformed or he’s part of that hate America crowd that I thought left us in the 1960s.”

Earlier Sunday, the more libertarian Paul defended his planned class-action lawsuit against the NSA and suggested that both James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, and the leaker Edward Snowden deserved to be in jail.

“Rand Paul does not know what he’s talking about,” King said. “And, Rand Paul is really spreading fear among the American people.”

“To me,” King continued, “he’s either totally uninformed or he’s part of that hate America crowd that I thought left us in the 1960s. In any event, he doesn’t deserve to be in the United States Senate for spreading that type of misperception and absolute lies, to be honest with you.”

Both King and Paul have said they are considering a campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

While Paul is a leading critic of the NSA, King is a staunch defender and said on Fox the spy agency “is doing exactly what it’s supposed to be doing.”

Peter King has had his moments, both good and bad. This is one more of the bad ones. A lot of Repubs are divided on this stuff. I personally believe that choosing to let your government spy on everyone, just in case someone is a terrorist, is nothing short of tyranny.

The Ballot Box isn’t working. That leaves one Box left...

“There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury and ammo. Please use in that order.”

Pete “King” is the “King” of “invented” or “plastic” politicians.

His campaigns are, for the most part, bankrolled by large individual donors and PAC money from a few key new world order industries.

If you look him up in opensecrets.org you’ll be surprised - even in today’s world of “synthetic” politicians.

Maybe some big name will come out of the woodwork and challenge him. I switch stations when he comes on. He defines windbag.

In the 2011-2012 cycle fundraising, only 8% for King came from small individual donors, the rest from large individual donors (52%) and PACs (39%).

Given his sources of financial support for his campaigns - and the fact that he’s been chairing the House Homeland Security Committee and he’s on the Finance Committee, he’s probably not going to see a challenger.

His backing comes, predictably, from defense and finance industries, i.e., from companies at the nexus of new world order’s military, espionage and finance arms.

His job is to rubberstamp the orders of new world order through the HS Committee, which is does reliably, so NWO wants to keep him in the job.

The final piece for him winning his district is union support, which, surprise, surprise, he also gets.

Peter, hundreds of thousands of voters said YES to your single NO.

You lose, he won.

Well said and there are many more RINO's that applies to that are not in the northeast.

This is why I hate the term "RINO"! This drunken jerk is a TOTAL REPUBLICAN in good standing! The GOP has NEVER been conservative. True conservatives are the "Republicans in Name Only". The GOP loves the Peter Kings. They HATE the Rand Pauls. And Ronald Reagans. And Jack Kemps. And Sarah Palins. Always has. Always will.

I know it's just semantics. But that term really bugs me.

>> King continued, “... or [Paul is] part of that hate America crowd that I thought left us in the 1960s.”

As one who has not pissed on the NSA, I find King’s comments outrageous.

It is Congress that is responsible for the alleged privacy violations — the same Congress that is doing nothing to “fix” the problem.

Vote out the RINOs in 2014!!!

Pete, you do not want to get me started on how many Republicans currently deserve to be in either house of Congress, let alone the Democrats. You really don’t.
