Harry Reid blasts Tea Party 'craziness' in GOP ("Things have gotten way out of whack")
Orlando Sentinel ^ | 1/05/14 | Hal Boedeker

**SNIP**

"We cannot have a country that's paralyzed because of a group of people -- the group of people who are the Tea Party-driven Republicans in Congress, not Republicans," Reid said. "I'm not here to badmouth Republicans around the country. I get a lot of support from Republicans in Nevada, and always have had. But they're mainstream Republicans. They're not driven by this craziness that we have in America today."

Schieffer sounded astonished by what Reid was saying, and it was probably the first big headline of 2014 from a Sunday morning show. Schieffer pressed to know more about Reid's thinking on filibusters. The Nevada Democrat explained why he was holding out the ban as a possibility.

"I think everyone should understand that the country cannot continue on the road that it's on," Reid said. "You cannot have when you have vacancies in the judiciary as we've had, D.C. circuits, some say it's more important in the Supreme Court, but it's at least the second most important. They said, 'We're not going to fill these spots because we don't want to.' You can't. See, that's not the way we legislate."

I really supported the Tea Party. Went to the original rally and helped make signs. All I saw were wonderful Americans that were fed up with big gov’t tyranny. . . But now that Harry Reid has criticized them, I don’t know if I can support them anymore. I don’t want to invite the ire of a bigtime politician from Nevada.

All I need to know about Dirty Harry I learned from the film “Casino”,an absolutely true story about the Mob’s control of Vegas in the 80’s.The character “Senator”,played by Dick Smothers of The Smothers Brothers,is,in fact,Dirty Harry, who was the head of the Nevada Gaming Commission while the events depicted in the film were occurring.”Slimy” and “corrupt” doesn’t *begin* to describe Dirty Harry during that period.

“Harry Reid should be in prison in Nevada.”

The Bush Justice Department was too busy eating its own — Scooter Libby and John Abramoff. No time to look at Harry Reid’s land deals and organized crime connections.

Hey, Hairy, you’ve got it all wrong. The GOP elite is on your side. Don’t criticize them. They’re trying to clean things up for you.

The only specific criticism of the Tea Party is that they object to what the GOPe and the Democrats are doing. They always state that we’re crazy, but they never cite an example other than disagreement with them.

Like, why do they always want to balance the budget?

Why do they want to tax for doing stupid things that are not functions of government?

If this is all they can say, I’m ok with that.

the only thing that is “out of whack” is Reid himself.

He is a has-been who see’s the potential of the Tea Party and is truly afraid of the potential outcome should the Tea Party take hold of the gubmint mess the demodummies and repubs have created.
