I’d say it’s partly Christie’s fault. And the idiots who voted for Obama and believed him when he said he would cut through the red tape.

Losing a business is one thing (and that sucks); losing a home is worse. As the region de-populates, I think there is serious debate about rebuilding in some of these areas.

Speaking of the NJ Doughboy...what ever happened to his *secret* lapband surgery? Shouldn’t the weight have dropped off, by now? At least a noticeable amount?
First of all, if a man builds his house on sand and it crumbles, the man who built his house on rock should not have to pay for the sandcastle that was knocked out by a storm they KNEW would come evetually.
As for Chritie and obama hugging and promising fast money, it was just to get votes. The only way the president can get any “fast” money to anyone is if he writes them a check from his personal bank account.
It’s slow to protect from fraud but that never works. I knew a guy in the navy when a hurricane hit. He parked his car in a hangar. It never got wet. He put in a claim and said sand had blown all over the car and ruined the paint job. He got around $300. That was in 1970. Other’s not free uniform allowaces because they claimed their uniforms had gotten wet in the storm and were ruined. Fraud was being committed left and right on that naval air station. I can only imagine the fraud in Sandy.
I read he weighed 355 lbs before the surgery and that he lost 40 lbs. I don’t believe it. He’s 5/11. He had to be over 400 to start with. 40 lbs...he’d still be the blimp he is.
Obama promised help would come and this would not become another Katrina. Yet, that is exactly what has happened! The only difference in the recovery after Sandy and the recovery after Katrina is there're no cameras and reporters camping out on the Jersey shores.
After Katrina, we were "treated to" two years of continuous scrutiny of the New Orleans area. There is no such "outrage" surrounding the Sandy story, because the media can't chance hurting their "der leader"!
Just a few weeks before the presidential election, Obama promised this would not be “another Katrina”. His promise influenced the election. After he was elected, Obama forgot about the victims and it became “another Katrina”!
