Chart: Does Your Choice Of Booze Reveal Your Politics?

DrinkBubble

The chart above, produced by the right-leaning research firm NMRPP and first published in the Washington Post last week, shows the comparative political inclinations (and relative voter turnouts) associated with the drinkers of various major liquor brands.

At first glance this may look like it conforms to some basic stereotypes about the two parties—Democrats like wine! Republicans like whiskey!—but wine actually runs the whole political scale, with Smoking Loon drunk primarily by Democrats, and Robert Mondavi drunk primarily by Republicans. Major whiskey brands do generally show a Republican bent, with the exception of Jameson, Canadian Mist, and Glen Ellen.

Gin is nearly exclusively Democratic, but the real lesson of the chart is to stay away from Jägermeister, a bi-partisan scourge that apparently renders you unable to get up and vote.

Schlitz Malt liquor, Colt 45 and Night Train.

Seems like most clear liquors go to the Dems and the rest falls mid-line or to the right.

As a fan of Johnnie Walker, I’m incensed that I’m considered centrist. I’m not a fan of many other types of whiskys.

I much prefer the 15. It is everything you could want from a bourbon. A whiskey bar near me had a few bottles from the release last month. I tried the 15, 20, and 23 and all were very good but the 20 probably was the least impressive of the 3.

Like most big city ERs the one I worked in had many "regulars",a good percentage of whom were chronic alcoholics. One day a particularly dirty, smelly and disgusting drunk came in and we had to relieve him of his bottle. It was some kind of cheap wine (can't recall the name) that boasted on the label that their grapes were grown in....OHIO!

One of my many fond memories of that place.

My guess is that this particular guy voted Rat.....5 times on each election day.

Vodka is among the cheapest and most potent of liquors.

The Russians sold it for less than safe drinking water on the theory that a drunk populace is a compliant populace.

Black Velvet - Alannah Myles

Mississippi in the middle of a dry spell

Jimmy Rodgers on the Victrola up high

Mama’s dancing with baby on her shoulder

The Sun is setting like molasses in the sky.

The boy could sing, knew how to move, everything.

Always wanting more, he’d leave you longing for.

CHORUS:

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that’ll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please.

Up in Memphis the music’s like a heat wave

White lightning, bound to drive you wild.

Mama’s baby’s in the heart of every school girl

“Love me tender” leaves ‘em cryin’ in the aisle

The way he moved, it was a sin, so sweet and true.

Always wanting more, he’d leave you longing for.

CHORUS:

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that’ll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please.

Every word of every song that he sang was for you.

In a flash he was gone, it happened so soon,

What could you do?
CHORUS:

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that’ll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please.

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that’ll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please.
If you please

If you please

ZZ Top - Thunderbird

Get high, everybody, get high.
Get high, everybody, get high.
Get high, everybody, get high.
Get high, everybody, get high.
Have you heard? What’s the word?
It’s Thunderbird.

All you kids from Texas,
you grow so big and tall.
All of them kids from Texas
they grow so big and tall.
All of them like to roam
in that T-Bird hall.

Get hi-hi-high.
Really makes you feel so fine,
really goes down so smooth,
really puts you in the groove.
Have you heard? What’s the word?
It’s Thunderbird.

Juice, juice, juice
really makes you loose loose, loose,
really goes down so smooth,
really puts you in the groove.
Have you heard? What’s the word?
It’s Thunderbird.

Get hi-hi-high,
way up in the sky.
Gonna get, yes sirree,
if ya come and rock with me.
Have you heard? What’s the word?
It’s Thunderbird.

Gin, a favorite of the left. What a surprise!

Gin drinkers are cited as the second most mentioned reason for locking gas caps.

Globally.

Deep down inside gin drinkers would prefer low octane gasoline if it were sold in a fancy bottle.

Gin drinkers lie. They’ll order top shelf in public but drink the cheapest swill at home.

In fact, Gallo Tawny Port, the perennial favorite of the curbside connoisseur, is a few magnitudes up the scale.

If your an FR gin drinker, I still love you guys, but really, gin?

My preferred hooch is Maker’s Mark. And even though I can’t afford them, I’ve never tried a Mondavi wine I didn’t like.

How expensive is Robert Mondavi? Well, the last time I visited, they were charging as much for some of their premium tasting portions as some other wineries (even in Napa Valley) charge for an entire bottle.

Interesting. Didn't know that. It isn't surprising. The lefties always overplay their hand.

If legalized marijuana really takes off, it is just a matter of time before they will demand higher and higher taxes on it to pay for the resulting social costs.

Of course, they will never go there with gay sex since, like abortion, it is a sacrament to them.
