An Afghan girl believed to be 10-years-old says that her brother and his friend forced her to wear a suicide vest and carry out an attack on police.
The BBC reported that the girl, named Spogmai, could be as young as eight and is the sister of a prominent Taliban commander known as Zahir.
According to Britains Daily Telegraph, her brother strapped her into the explosive harness and sent her across a river to her target, a border police checkpoint in Helmand province.
In an interview after the ordeal, she said that she shouted its cold and I cant cross the water.
She said that her brother and his friend then took her home where her father beat her. Later that night, she says, she ran away from home and in the morning surrendered to police.
The Telegraph quoted local reports which suggested that the girls male relatives had pressured her into the terrorist act with accusations of illicit relations with officers.
Border police Col Hamidullah Siddique said that the girl has asked the police not to send her home to her family due to fear of reprisals.

Because neither her grandfather or father wanted to wear it.
The U.N. is silent about the most egregious version of child abuse on the planet - the indoctrination of children that they were born to blow themselves up. Why the silence and the pouring in of money to Muslims? Because, after all. Muslims keep repeating the colossal lie that Islam is a religion of “peace.” Every single border dispute in the world today was started by Muslims, a religion that instills violence and can’t get along with anyone.
No cries of “war crimes” from the Code Pinko Commies or John F***TheArmy Kerry.
The UN is infested with Islamists on Human Rights boards. It’s a joke.
Their mothers are no different. Mamma probably strapped it on her.
All mamma has to do is say the right words about the oppressive men and we’ll kiss her butt and send the child home to be punished for failing.
The UN is made up largely of Evil Despots. It is an organization that deserves to die.
They promote evil and punish good.
And we allow them to exist on our soil.
The “Will of Allah”. What a travesty!
>>Muslims keep repeating the colossal lie that Islam is a religion of peace.<<
And the West keeps pretending that Islam and militant Islam are two different entities and have nothing in common.
“Hey little girl use this laser pointer to paint.....er uh....point out your house. Hold the pretty light real still and start wishing the bad people away. No one will ever make you wear a vest again.”
More of the Radical Muslim war on women and children to by their weak cowardly men.
Because there has not been one POTUS since WWII with the balls to eject them or to discontinue membership in that evil organization.
A 10 year old having "illicit relations" with Taliban officers. Did they pimp her out too?
With that said, I have not heard of a similar incident involving girls. But I do know there is a push among the Taliban and Haqqanis to recruit younger suicide bombers. I got back from AFG a week ago.
I think that was to be the pretext to get close to them. Unless I miss-understood it.
Islam does not equal Islamist.
Yep, that is a good way. And very effective.
Accusations from her male relatives leads me to believe they wanted to protect her “honor”. After they’d already used their connections to arrange the hook-up of course. Daddy is a Taliban officer. The kind of man the Democrats want to negotiate with.
I have a co worker who was wounded in Afghanistan by an IED (served in Iraq also). He had told me this was rather common. The Troops would set a perimeter, anything coming within this zone would be shot. The Taliban would send in kids with C$ strapped to their bodies to test security, the explosives could be set off remotely. The Troops would shoot the intruders and find out that they were kids stressful, bt otherwise lots of other people could be blown up.
