See that white stuff floating down past the orange trees and landing on your alligators and manatees, Florida? That's global warming, that is.
See that frozen white thing by the harbor that used to look a green woman with a spiky headdress, New York? That's global warming, that is.
See that chilling solid yellow stream extending upwards from the snowy ground to your shrivelling blackened member after you made the very wrong call to take an al fresco leak, Chicagoans? That's global warming, that is.
How do we know this? Because Bryan Walsh of Time magazine says so:
But not only does the cold spell not disprove climate change, it may well be that global warming could be making the occasional bout of extreme cold weather in the U.S. even more likely. Right now much of the U.S. is in the grip of a polar vortex, which is pretty much what it sounds like: a whirlwind of extremely cold, extremely dense air that forms near the poles. Usually the fast winds in the vortex—which can top 100 mph (161 k/h)—keep that cold air locked up in the Arctic. But when the winds weaken, the vortex can begin to wobble like a drunk on his fourth martini, and the Arctic air can escape and spill southward, bringing Arctic weather with it. In this case, nearly the entire polar vortex has tumbled southward, leading to record-breaking cold….
And, of course, so does the Guardian say so….
While the ongoing cold snap is breaking records from Minnesota to Florida, it will not go down in history as the most significant Arctic outbreak in U.S. history, not even by a longshot. Scientists said the deep freeze gripping the U.S. does not indicate a halt or reversal in global warming trends, either....

On Monday's CBS This Morning, Charlie Rose predictably placed the blame for the unusually cold weather in North America on climate change. Rose wondered, "Is it definitely connected to global warming?"
Rose and co-anchor Norah O'Donnell turned to climate change alarmist Bryan Walsh of Time magazine, who only cited vague "theories...that some of the warming...you're seeing up in the Arctic might be changing the atmospheric circulation in that part of the world...and maybe, makes these cold spells a little more likely than they otherwise be." ...The oasis of warmth in the state was at Corpus Christi, which registered a balmy 11 degrees above zero.
“We were 50 miles down Laguna Madre (when the storm hit). We were iced in. The Laguna had frozen over.”
The second week in January is always the coldest in FLA. We are wearing our northern sweaters that we kept when we moved here 10 years ago.(inside our house) 2-3 years ago it was worse than now.

A Time.com article by Bryan Walsh encouraged readers to go to an environmentalist Web site because it might be their last chance to see the “polar world.”
“Man your computers - GlobalWarming101.com might give you a last glimpse of a dying polar world,” Walsh wrote on February 22.
The Web site is run by Will Steger, who identified himself as an author, photographer and “ceaseless advocate for the Earth’s well being.”
“To help raise awareness of the damage climate change is wreaking on the polar regions, next month Steger will be leading a team of six young adventurers on a 1,400-mile, 60-day-long dogsled expedition across Ellesmere Island, in the far Canadian Arctic,” wrote Walsh.

Wind is weakening in the Arctic. Why?
Does this have something to do with windmills? They have to draw wind from someplace.
I say, stop the windmills and the winds will return from whence they came. The Arctic.

#8: Didn’t this expedition have to be rescued because of extreme cold and snow?
I wonder if this young shithead remembers the twin 18 inch snows of December/January 1987 in DC? Couldn’t find my car. In fact, couldn’t get to it for a week (had moved just before the storms hit so it remained at the old house).
We had one helluva storm in in Baltimore in 1960 that stopped the streetcars from running as well as the buses taking us home from school. I should have stayed on that bus - the girl next to me was pretty and friendly, but, no, my friends wanted to walk several miles to home.
The night before the JFK inauguration, 9 inches of snow. My Bar mitzvah in 1958, 6 inches of snow. A month later in March, 9 inches of snow. Never did have a real reception for friends and the shual.
A guess this was all because of global warming. Wish I had know it back then. Would have made me a smart and rich (Al Gore) man.
