Signing up the homeless for health care, one at a time

Outreach and enrollment among the homeless is challenging, in large part because many are addicted to drugs or are mentally ill, and they distrust government and public programs. Homeless people also are transient and usually lack permanent mailing addresses.

I guess this is where that no preexisting illness clause comes into play. Be a bum, wino, drug addict, it doesn't matter you get the same access (if not better) to health care as do the responsible hard working taxpayers. Remember the story of the grasshopper and the ant. In Obama's world it ends with the grasshopper eating the ant.

I am surprised they are going out to find and enroll them.

Watch soon for “auto-enrool’ meaning they will enroll you themselves.

You might wonder at the administration’s belief that the majority of the poor will eventually enrol via a computer site.

I’d bet that many if not most are not computer literate and those who are probably have to fight over computer time at the local library with those wanting to see porno.
