I wonder just how many greens among them are entirely happy this country has not authorized or encouraged a new oil refinery to be built in this country for several decades. I wonder how many voted for Obama, who doesn’t give a rat’s patootie about them now he’s secured his final four years.
Just put up another wind mill or two. And choke on them, idiots.
The US already refines more petroleum product than we use. We do not have a refinery capacity shortage.
We haven’t built any major new ones lately. But we have spent the last couple decades expanding and upgrading the ones we have.
The real problem is too much of the oil they process comes from overseas, particularly from OPEC. That is getting better but still has a way to go.
Okay...it was really more of an example but could be replaced with ‘how many didn’t want storage tanks’ or ‘how many didn’t want pipelines’ or less regulation, et al.
The next thing you know, you’ll hear one of their pandering Congressmen or Senators calling for a “Strategic Oil Drawoff” so they can set up protected middlemen oil vendors who will ‘sell’ this oil, not ever having seen or touched it.
[This happened in one of Clinton’s releases where some connected minority NY shill was given a license to sell it off. He worked out of an apartment in NYC and never saw or touched anything to do with the oil except the billing.
Did you know we already have a 1 million Barrel Heating Oil Reserve? Split between sites in MA and CT.

How many of these frozen ones voted at least twice for Obama, who hates anything connected with natural resources like coal, oil, and wood?

The ultimate goal of the left it to have everybody dependent on the government for everything - in other words, all money comes from the government. Which means that all money goes to the government too, and that the government doles out money to those who vote for more government.
We who have the money have installed some type of alternative heating system, such as a wood or pellet stove to reduce are oil consumption. Poor people do not have an extra $3000-4000 lying around to make that change. I will install a new wood stove in the house I bought last year soon. It will cost me $4000 before I am done. However, I am going to spend $3500 or more for heating oil this year. Installing the stove should pay for itself within 5 years.
We have an item on every month’s electric bill for the energy program for the poor. I have paid this for decades, as have we all. Yet, when I talk with those in real need, I am told the program is a 1st come/1st serve limited amount pool. The grant depends on demand for that set amount. In some cases of extreme need (3 children, ill wife, unemployed husband, inoperative chimney they cannot afford to fix), the help amounted to less than a full tank of propane in January. Period. It was a small house and they made due with blankets and closing off the upstairs. But the Government is very cheap when it comes to heating aid.
I bet 80% of Rhode Islanders oppose fracking...

We had about 17 days where it got down into the teens at night and maybe got up to the mid thirties.
The Bay Area Air Nazis declared no burn days re heating unless that was your only heat. They went out with sensors to check the chimneys to see if you were in violation.
Neighbors and friends with pellet stoves like you describe, could not use them as they had other heat.
