Going to tune into iheart KSFO a bit early, yesterday I was treated to a bit of off air banter between savage and a producer with savage bitchign about how the previous host had called savage a “old firend” and savage complaining that he was not a firend and the previous host had implied that savage was the reason that host has his slot.

Justifiable on Savage’s part, despite him being a prima donna at times.

It was kinda interesting to hear (see) how the sausage is nmade so to speak.

We lost Savage on our local clear channel station in the summer of 2012. I never could figure out why. Pawn Vanity was crowing that he had something really big to drop on what he called the "phony conservative with the radical professor from Fiji". He gave us no idea as to what and when.

Yeah, Savage gets off his meds at time, but I enjoy listening to him far more than Pawn Vanity or the Leprechaun.

Has Mike been doing the full 3 hours since starting the new show?

The last caller from Hollywood FL was heartbreaking. He was hit by an illegal and then discriminated by SS agency for being a white male former millitary.....

Made me angry.

Even wood burning was bad, that is one of the many reasons why primitive man didn’t live as long as we do now.

Full 3 hours?

Not sure, because I haven’t had a chance to listen to him in his new time slot.

Some stations, however, are only carrying him for 2 hours.

Thanks. I used to laugh when Mike would extravagantly praise himself for going 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, week in week out when we all knew the 3rd hour was memorex. But that’s the Savage persona, which I get a kick out of. May be that if he stops with the book club and competitor bashing I’ll start listening again.

You’re being generous. Most of yesterday’s third hour was definitely Memorex and one flu shot story was several months old. It’s just done more artfully than before. Remember that when he changed syndicator s last year or whenever it was he cleaned up his act and the shows were really good for a few days, then he gradually slipped back into his old habits.

I didnt hear Hannity but he did drop a bombshell concerning Savage( probably Savage though he didnt mention him by name). Now I wish he’d follow up and say whatever it is he has to say. Don’t forget that Savage was extremely hard on Hannity over alleged impropieties with the Freedom Concerts and still mentions it from time to time. I’m sure Hannity has not forgotten this.
4 hours to Savage here. I’ve been hard at work cleaning my apartment today and this will be the perfect reward.

What problem did Savage have with Hannity’s freedom concerts exactly? Thank you.

It was several years ago although he still mentions it from time to time. Basically that they spent too much on transportation and things like that and not enough on the cause. This is often a problem with any kind of charity that does things like concerts with big name talent because it does cost a lot and the stars do have to have decent accommodations and so on. There is also a claim that none of the injured veterans got more than a few hundred dollars from the charity and their children got a bit of help but not the full scholarships as implied. Debbie Schussel, who is very controversial and kind of a flamethrower was the person who first broke it and then of course the left ran with it. Hannity did respond but I don’t remember what he said exactly. I think some stars did stop participating. I’ve never gone to a freedom concert myself and probably wouldn’t because they aren’t in my area, but was a bit concerned when the watchdog Charity Navigator was also impugned by Schussel. If you can’t depend on Charity Navigator this is a problem. If you want to go to the source search Debbie Schussel, Hannity and Freedom concerts on the Internet. Savage was very gleeful about the whole thing. I’m guessing that a lot of people at places like HuffPo who were salivating over it probably never gave a nickel to a veterans charity of any kind. But everybody is an expert.

I actually like what he’s saying about bread. It’s such an “ingrained” part of our culture, even religious rituals and literature. I’ve often thought the same thing myself. Low-carb diets just don’t seem right to me and I don’t want to think they’re the reason were fat.

Did I just hear him say Montanans subsist on vodka? That means they’ve stopped subsisting on cheap Canadian whiskey, I guess.

Well, were halfway through the second hour and he’s rerunning material from yesterday’s show, reminding people of the fallibility of the founding fathers and reading from his books. It doesn’t bode well for the third hour. Yesterday’s third hour was live, though.
He compared talk show hosts who talk a lot about the founding fathers to radical Muslims.

Now he’s basically said that he’s decided to make Friday a rehash of material from earlier in the week.

I hope that these people know that the Grorge Washington cherry tree story is a myth fabricated by a Washington biographer named Parson Weems( who probably wasn’t a real parson either)

I looked up the no-pants subway ride and it seems to me that Savage is taking it a bit too seriously. After all, they are wearing underwear—that’s more than you can say for the Fremont Solstice bicycle riders in Seattle, for example. And unlike the Slutwalks, which I do find offensive and harmful, there seems to be nothing sexual about it. He claims that their underwear is dirty—he’s always claiming that somebody is dirty—wearing dirty clothes, judges wearing dirty robes, etc. How does he know? Because of modern plumbing and laundry facilities, fewer Americans than ever are dirty, people all over the world for that matter. According to what I read this is supposed to be a celebration of silliness, nothing more.
