Police are investigating whether an incident involving a man punching a woman in the face for no apparent reason is related to the "Knockout Game."
Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department said just after 4:30 p.m. Monday officers responded to a call of an assault and battery in the 14000 block of Blossom Hill Road. Witnesses told police a man confronted a woman in a strip mall parking lot and struck her in the face with a single closed fist.
The victim fell to the ground and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Manny Singh, who owns the nearby Los Gatos Pizza, said he saw the victim after the incident.
"She was crying. She was crying really bad," he said. "She said she didn't do anything wrong. I don't know what happened to her."
The suspect ran away after the incident and before officers arrived on scene, police said.
Some people at a dance studio located near where the crime occurred are concerned that the attack is connected to a national phenomenon called the "Knockout Game."
The game involves people attempting to knock out unsuspecting victims with a single sucker punch for amusement purposes, according to police. Investigators, however, said they do not have enough evidence to connect the crime to the game.
"There is no specific indication that it is part of the Knockout Game, but again we're not ruling out any of those motives," Sgt. Clinton Tada said.
The suspect is described as an African American adult in his early- to mid-20s, 5 foot 9 inches to 6 feet tall, slender build and short, brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a white baseball cap backwards.

Well, I’m not a mind reader. I don’t know the perp, and he didn’t say anything. I’m not saying it wasn’t, but I can’t state for a fact that I know it.
There will be no hate crime charges. The perp can blame it on years of oppression and say he’s just getting back on Whitey. Then the charges will be dropped.
Lesson:
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES come within 10 feet of someone you do not know ^for any reason^ in an urban setting.
Avoid conversation with any urban person, regardless of skin color. Additionally, do not engage in ANY conversation with ANY urban youth you are not familiar with. Do not allow them to make physical contact!
If you are in the proper jurisdiction, provide a verbal report of your 2A status to any “unknown” you encounter; “I have a weapons permit!”
This was not an urban environment.
I thought the same as you, but I looked up the address of Los Gatos Pizza, and it gives a Los Gatos address. I would have thought San Jose or unincorporated.

I used to have relatives who lived in Los Gatos - a snotty, self-satisfied community of mostly libtards - but I would be shocked if this was perpetrated by a black person...
Northern CA doesn’t have a lot of AAs...thus the smug attitude towards anything about blacks...

Blossom Hill Road is mostly in Los Gatos, actually. The LG city limits go almost (but not quite) up all the way to Camden Avenue, shy by several long blocks. The vast majority of the Los Gatos is east, not west, of Hwy 17.

I grew up there when living in Mountain View was frowned upon (it’s now full of multi-million dollar shacks)...most recently, i spent a lot of time in LG.
