"Too many people stayed home in 2012 and we are suffering terribly because of it."

Should Christie become the nominee, 2012 will be small potatoes.

"This is one of the problems common with blue state Republicans. They tend to be just as petty, vindictive, and corrupt as the Dems that they supplant."

As demonstrated by Cornyn?

Reince and repeat.

I am sure you are right. It only goes to show how stupid Conservatives really are. We are all to certain that a Democrat Commie will be so bad that a Conservative will be nominated for sure the next time. However, we never get one because we find the smallest blemish to disqualify ANY one who dares deviate from what WE think is Conservative.

Yet the Leftist idiots stay together and go constantly FORWARD little by little until they can foist an outright commie like Obama on us and they than shoot for the moon and always damn near hit it. So regardless of how ‘right’ our arguments may be, we are simply too damn headstrong and stupid to get anything done.

Watch Jeb pop up in the next few weeks.

Could be. But I think the RNC is busy figuring out how to force their next rino down the throats of conservatives. My guess is that, although Jeb meets their ideological criteria, they do realize that traditionally [R] voters, conservatives and rinos, won't support another Bush.

Rove's RNC is setting up to take out the two potential candidates that worry them. They've started floating a story about John Bolton running. My belief is that will happen if they think Rand Paul has any traction, as many traditionally [R] voters are concerned that he's weak on national security.

They're also (justifiably) concerned about Ted Cruz getting too much traction in the primaries. They're already putting stories out about a possible Mike Chucklebee candidacy. IMO, the RNC would plan that in order to siphon off Southern Baptists who might otherwise support Cruz, but would break for Chucklebee if he's in it.

The RNC's end game, I think, will be to cut off or split the conservative vote, and push either Marco Rubio or Paul Ryan through the primaries. Whichever one of those two gets the nod, Rove and the RNC will spend a billion dollars trying to convince us that he's a true conservative.

The GOPe has publically declared War on their base.

If you love them, you should let them know that they are now forked toast in 2016.

Well I suggest that you change parties. I on the other hand will fight to get Conservatives elected in the primaries and vote to remove Democrats wherever possible.

Not one Republican voted for Obama Care. Not one. Had we had one more Republican Senator, even another RINO. It would not have passed. It was a freak occurrence that the Democrats could get it done and they did it because they are disciplined and vote the party line. Over time they win. They have a long view. We don't, therefor we fail.

I for one would like to win 55% of the time than lose 100% of the time. Since 1928 we have lost 100% OF THE TIME, over time, EVEN Reagan was unable to stop the growth of government. He was little more than a speed bump on the road to tyranny.

If I lived in KY, I'd vote for the 'rat ilo Ditch Mitch.

I've done the same a decade ago and am still waiting for an adequate replacement, though it may happen this year.

The Country can not take unrepresentative unConstitutionalists. Put them down as they are found out.

If I lived in KY I would vote for his opponent IN THE PRIMARY. He has a Conservative opponent. I will be voting against Rob Portman in the PRIMARY as he is a squish and idiot. But I damn sure would prefer him over another Sherrod Brown.

So, which Northeast liberal politician do the media push as the savior of the Republican Party now?

It's been reported that Peter King (Congressman from Long Island) has been exploring a presidential bid.

His credentials? Well, while Cruz and Lee were trying to defund Obamacare, King was right in the thick of it: "King has long pushed Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to take up the Senate-passed continuing resolution (CR) to reopen the government." (from http://thehill.com/homenews/house/328085-rep-peter-king-ready-to-sign-discharge-petition-on-clean-funding-bill-#ixzz2psWlgjbA)

IOW, King was to the left of Boehner. Sounds like presidential timber to me!
