We live in a country where a momentary shortage, that has not yet even materialized, of a specific, beloved processed cheese product, is a national news story deemed worthy by citizens of being suffixed into a “-pocalypse”
First Sirracha hot sauce disappears from store shelves now Veveeta.... Is the government buying up mass quantities of these products in some sort of plot?

You’re not going to believe how good that is. Cook the hamburger and sausage, equal portions, and drain. Add to the nacho cheese... wow.
I took some to a church fellowship one time and kept it hot in a crockpot. I got comment after comment asking “WHAT IS THIS???” They couldn’t believe it was so simple. It was a real hit.
The Kraft plant is under construction in my town. That might have something to do with the shortage of Velvetta.
Wouldn’t a ‘geddon be an overwhelming amount of Velveeta? As in “The Velveetageddon destroyed buildings and buried millions of government cheese seekers!”
Substitute a large jar of Paces Picante for the Rotel and add a pound of browned Italian sausage, can of cream of mushroom soup and a handful of jalepeno slices and you’ve got a meal to eat with tortilla chips.
In a similar vein, I always thought that 'Devil Dogs' snack cakes ought to go with the words of Sergeant Major Dan Daly- 'Come on you sonsofbitches, do you want to live forever'?
My dad started liking Spam in the service. I have people tell me it’s nasty only to find out they ate it straight out of the can. Ugh. You have to slice it thin and fry it till crispy. We eat it like bacon with eggs and grits.

Was part of the USDA “Commodities” food give away program and was around before Reagan or Food Stamps.
Wasn’t long before the grocers talked the gubmit into letting them handle food give away program, for a small profit of course.
LOLOL! I remember when we moved from Dallas to CA, we bought a case of Rotel and took it with us as it wasn’t available in Cali yet. Man were we a hit at parties!
Just like the great Twinkie outage, this too will pass.
Velveeta:
Milk, water, milkfat, whey, milk protein concentrate, whey protein concentrate, sodium phosphate; contains less than 2% of: salt, calcium phosphate, lactic acid, sorbic acid as a preservative, sodium alginate, sodium citrate, enzymes, apocarotenal (color), annatto (color), and cheese culture.
Last weekend was one of my lasagna weekends, which I do every five years or so.
5 lbs Ricotta, 4 lbs mozzarella, 5 lbs Italian sausage, olive oil, peppers, onions, all the good stuff.
Cooked six trays of Saturday, turned around did another four on Tuesday.
EVERYTHING fresh and cooked from scratch. (Well, it was store bought noodles).
Everything in it but the kitchen sink or anything at all with the word “Kraft” on it!
