House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) retorted to a reporter’s question about slipping support for Obamacare at her Thursday press conference that it was called the “Affordable Care Act.”
Pelosi has referred to the law previously as Obamacare, although she also told Meet the Press host David Gregory she’d “always” called it the Affordable Care Act during a contentious November interview.
Q: The three “Obamacare” bills on the floor tomorrow in the House, some Democrats have indicated they might be open to supporting them. How strongly are you pushing members to vote against them? And does it start to become a sign of weakening support if more Democrats –
NANCY PELOSI: Absolutely not. First of all, it’s called the “Affordable Care Act.” If that’s what you’re referencing, yeah, they are going after the Affordable Care Act. They’re saying, let’s do everything we can to take away health insurance from 9 million Americans who already have it and prevent many more millions of Americans from having it.

Oh yes, it is OBAMACARE.
It’s Obama’s CommieCare!
Obamacare FAR more descriptive and ACCURATE than ACA.
Pelosi = FAIL
It’s the “We have to pass it before the American people find out what’s in it” Act.
We should stop calling it Obamacare. It’s making it more popular. (The real name should be Romneycare or HeritageFoundationcare anyway)
If calling it Obamacare were making it more popular, Pelousy would be screaming it from the rooftops.
During one of the debates, Romney called it Obamacare, and Obama said that the term was growing on him. So if he’s OK with it . . . hmm, maybe that’s a reason to call it the Affordable Care Act after all.
Sounds like the dems are back tracking.
It’s Obamacare when things are going well
It’s the Affordable Care Act when things are going poorly for democrats
Didn’t you get the talking points?
“We should stop calling it Obamacare. Its making it more popular. (The real name should be Romneycare or HeritageFoundationcare anyway)”
Both are jokes but calling it affordable is even a bigger joke than calling it Obama’s.
No matter what you call it, it’s a POS.
It’s Obama’s Unaffordable, Uncaring Act.
It would be opportune in moments like this one to carry a duck call in the pocket.
Someone ask that bug-eyed, fart headed jester what is affordable about Obamacare.
Yes, Ma’am, ma’am. Or was that Boxer?
Wow. She must have read the bill. Or maybe just the title.
