I find the comparison to be irrelevant. Christie’s running for office. He can’t deny the political motivation because it’s right there in the email. So he has no choice. His ignorance of the entire closure is suspect.

Christie has shown me that he lacks character and integrity regardless of the fact that he knows how to work a crowd. Some people would call this talent, “blow hard”.

Ditto. I think it's absurd to believe that his closest aides did this on their own. They are his tools. Maybe the result is small potatoes compared to manipulating the IRS, but I find it quite shocking, maybe just because it was so petty and purely vindictive. President? I think he should be thrown out of office now.

Obama was running for office when the IRS deliberately delayed for months the approval of applications from conservative groups for tax-exempt status. This was a gross abuse of power, much more sinister than blocking traffic on a bridge. There is actually no comparison between the two in order of magnitude of the offense.
