Who knows; the real killer who was identified through DNA is in jail and will be for a long time. I’m disgusted at how low the Italian justice system has sunk and I think Meredith’s parents need serious psychotherapy.

I’m disgusted at how low the Italian justice system has sunk When the lead prosecutor came out with his "devil-worship" angle, with absolutely no evidence of devil-worship in Amanda's background, he lost all credibility.

They want Amanda to be dead and Meredith to be alive and since that can’t happen, the next best thing (for them) is to punish Amanda forever by blaming her.
