The Obama administration has decided to jettison CGI Federal, the main IT contractor that was responsible for building the defect-ridden online health insurance marketplace and has been immersed in the work of repairing it.
Federal health officials are preparing to sign a 12-month contract worth roughly $90 million, probably early next week, with a different company, Accenture, after concluding that CGI has not been effective enough in fixing the intricate computer system underpinning the federal Web site, HealthCare.gov.
Accenture, which is one of the worlds largest consulting firms, has extensive experience with computer systems on the state level, and it built Californias new health insurance exchange. But it has not done substantial work on any federal health-care program.
In a statement Friday, CGI spokeswoman Linda Odorisio said that even as the companys work on HealthCare.gov was wrapping up, CGIs 15-year relationship with CMS will continue, including work on the nearly $37 million in contracts that have been awarded to CGI since October 1, 2013.

Where’s the refund?
RE: Wheres the refund?
The other rhetorical question is — Was there even any public bidding for this contract?
Another no-bid contract?
Any Obama or Michelle cronies high up in Accenture management?
Not much hope for the foreseeable future. The new contractor is facing a moving target anyway...what could go wrong?
I've heard the answer is "no."
looks like barrycades hired another friends’ company. accenture is headquartered in chicago. they split off from andersen and renamed themselves from andersen consulting. just before the arthur andersen accounting scandal broke.

Ahhh... the good old Enron days.
While everyone is tsk-tsking over lame Christie, these Washington thieves just keep trucking, with NO accountability whatsoever.

OK, if Christie was involved he needs to be held into account.
But wheres the perspective and the sense of proportion from our media?
Lets put it this way.... The Mainstream Media is hyperventilating over a traffic jam?
If only they were as concerned about the gridlock in the halls of Congress in Washington, D.C. as they are about the gridlock on the George Washington Bridge.
To my knowledge, no one has been fired for the hundreds of deaths in Fast & Furious, the 4 deaths in the Benghazi terrorist attack, the IRS scandal, the NSA scandal or the ObamaCare debacle. No one.
But by golly, the Mainstream Media and Democrats are getting their pound of flesh over bumper-to-bumper traffic over the Hudson River.

Looks like a real digglebarry outfit, the kind that BarryO likes and reflects the integrity of the Administration. Wonder how many affirmative action Black Studies Majors are hired.

Definition of insanity or government policy, same thing.
Meanwhile, Moochelle’s gal friend who was given the no-bid gig walks away with....$680 million? No further responsibility, no future maintenance headaches, no nuttin’. Just lollygag around and spend her cut of the swag! CRONEY Capitalism really DOES suck.
So has Toni Townes-Whitley moved to this new company or is there another BLACK FOB at this new place ready to rip off the country?
CGI Federal is a con. It’s nothing but a crony business that deals only in federal “contracts” through connections.
They also do inspections of government housing.
Why are they being fired if it is all going so well now?
they’re actually a pretty good technology company.
all i am saying is that i am sure simce they are hq’d in chicago that there’s someone or two at’the top of this company connected to barrycades. probably donors.
