The mother of Trayvon Martin will participate in a University of Utah public discussion on Jan. 16 during a weeklong celebration of Martin Luther King Jr., KTVX-TV reports.
Sybrina Fulton is scheduled to speak at the university's Union Ballroom for the 30th annual Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This year's theme is "Beneath the Hoodie: A Look at Racial Profiling in America."
Fulton's son, a 17-year-old black Miami high-school student, was fatally shot in February 2012 by George Zimmerman. A jury in Seminole County acquitted Zimmerman in July of murder.
The case stirred a national debate on issues of self-defense, racial justice, gun control and profiling....

Why does profiling happen?

Next to one parking spot there are a dozen young black guys. One block down, there’s a group of Jewish men wearing their skull hats standing there.

As we do each year, my next door neighbor and I will be flying our Dixie flags on January 20 to annoy the leftist (originally from Nashua, NH as he never lets us forget) across the street. I'll give him credit though -- he's taken that stupid COEXIST bumper sticker off his car, so he's possibly on the way to shedding his Yankee leftism.
Why aren’t we hearing about a civil case brought against Zimmerman? Is it because a lot more about Trayvon’s history and character would come out? And what about Holder’s persecution? What ever became of that?
Ask her what “cracker” means, as used by her son.
Maybe he removed the “Coexist” sticker because it had that “hateful” Christian cross on it. And liberals don’t really want to co-exist with you freedom-loving flag-waving traditional values types.
It’s really a shame that she never put as much energy into raising her son as she has into celebrating his death. But then, there’s no short term monetary profit in simply raising children to be productive citizens.
