I dare you to ever find the “Luckenbach 1” sign on US290 in Texas.

Sorry, but 'I moved to Texas as soon as I could get here.' Is there a history behind that?

Whoever thought up changing it to 419.99 was probably high themselves.

Back in olden times, New Jersey had to rename its Route 69 because people kept stealing the signs. It is now Route 31.

Hilarious indeed...420...and I remember one from the 1984 presidential campaign...it goes something like this...Walter Mondale was caught doing 69 in a Ferraro...

In NJ RT 31 was renamed from RT 69... apparently a lot of signage was lifted from the roadside.

Back when I was going to school in Michigan, the “I-69” Interstate signs were frequently poached.

However the town limit signs in Hell, Michigan were solidly arc welded to the posts.

Mondale appeared to be a decent human being. At least some leftist democrats used to seem like decent enough people with some morals. Take it or leave it. But the D party has been taken over by some very evil hard. Hard leftists indeed Who display no signs of ever having had any decency or morals whatsoever. and unlike the D party of 40 or Fifty years ago, there is no room in today’s super - leftist D party for “ moderates “ of any kind whatsoever. You either promote the communist and islamoNazi causes or you’re out. Or close to it. We are dealing with a very small element but an extremely determined and obviously super- dangerous one. In brief, it’s not your granddaddy- s democrat party any longer. Not by a long shot.

Humphrey and Mondale of course, hailing from Minnesota, were not ‘Democrats’ but ‘Democratic-Socialists’. Even these left of the centrist Democrats of that day would be considered to the right of the evil left that is now the Democratic Party.

There was a state road sign on the campus of the University of Georgia I really wanted to steal. It said “DAED END”.

I resisted the urge to sin. But I’ve always kinda wished I’d taken it. Especially since they replaced it after I mentioned it in the local paper.
