Since taking office in 2009, it has been tough sledding for the economy. Congress and the administration have increased the federal debt held by the public from $7.5 trillion to $11.2 trillion in 2012. To clarify, in terms of percent of gross domestic product-a measure of the nation's total output-the federal debt has grown from 54 percent of GDP in 2009 to 72 percent of GDP in 2012, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
But sector by sector, the administration appears bent on imposing the regulations that thwart entrepreneurial activity and economic growth. ObamaCare, the jewel of Obama presidency, is fraught with problems that have many small businesses questioning their ability to expand or provide health care for their employees.
All told, Wayne Crews of the Competitive Enterprise Institute finds that federal agencies will issue 56 regulations for every law passed in 2013-at total of 3,659 rules and regulations.

His economic policy is not failing. It's destruction is planned, to help implement communism.
Obama is doing everything that kills the economy, not stimulates it — including his latest focus on “income equality”.

A good title. Obama's legacy of failure is far too broad a topic to address even in an encyclopedia-sized set of volumes. Even the economic subset of his catastrophic series of failures is huge, but at least it can be discussed sensibly.
No, I’d disagree about the communism thing. If you go and examine the Hoover and Roosevelt agenda for the depression...it was all solutions for punishing capitalism. Everyone within the tight group of twenty that supported Roosevelt’s inner circle....lacked any background in business or finance...most were simply thesis-producers or political figures.
All of the solutions you see going on today? The stuff you’d use to write college papers with. No real knowledge or background over how a real person earns income, uses it, operates a business, or executes successful operations.
It’s all the efforts of extremely naive people with no real life experience. This is the only solution they know....because they wrote a thesis for this in college.

A small one, not a big one. GWB did, after all, push for the “war communism” of the Patriot Act and the “civil communism” of NCLB and immigration amnesty. The only hope of reversing these programs (as well the Obama presidency in total) rests with a handful of Republicans.
