The November IAEA Report On Iran's Nuclear Program: No Significant Advances (Far from the bomb
Arms Control Now ^ | November 14, 2013 [next IAEA report in Feb. 2014] | Kelsey Davenport

...

According to the November 14, 2013 report, Iran's stockpile of 20 percent enriched material increased slightly to 196 kilograms. This keeps Iran well below the required amount which, when further enriched is enough for one nuclear weapon.

Key Highlights From the Report:

Iran's stockpile of 20% enriched Uranium is at 196 Kilograms, an increase of only about 10 kilograms since August 2013 [link at URL], because Iran is continuing to convert 20% Unranium Hexaflouride gas into powder. The stockpile remains below the estimatwed 240-250 kilograms which, when further enriched to weapons grade, would be enough for one nuclear weapon.

The IAEA reports no major components of the ARAK heavy water reactor were installed since August, although Iran continues to make progress on construction..

Since the August report, Iran has only installed 4 additional IR-1 centrifuges...

Iran installed no new IR-2M centrifuges [next generation centrifuges], leaving the total at 1008 advanced (IR-2M) centrifuges at Natanz. These centrifuges are not yet producing enriched uranium...

Iran seems to be far but not real far from getting one bomb. Back In August the IAEA said that it would be hard for Iran to make a dash to making a bomb without it being noticed, as it had only 189 kilograms at 20%, far below the 240-250 needed and far below (as well) the 90% needed.

I remember decades ago when the bombings became more common in Israel that there were a number of explosions that killed the bomb makers. The Israelis had a bomb making apartment wired for video. When the bombers finished the bomb, they tested it...

Let’s hope the Iranians do the same.

All the underground facilities and “without it being noticed”? Yeah, OK. Who noticed North Korea getting the bomb?

let’s see now, they’ve been working on their bombs for over 10 years, it is, they say, their number one national priority, they openly brag they plan to eliminate their “Great Satan” when they get their nuke missiles done, plus they’ve threatened their Arab and Israeli “neighbors”...

they have almost infinite financial resources (since they are a big oil producing country), and unemployed nuclear scientists and engineers are a dime-a-dozen on the world scene...

now tell us ..... what!?

(ps: this “inspection service” has been highly suspect as a cover-up for the Irani nuke bomb program, for years...and years...)

somehow I am NOT sleeping any more securely tonight...

No one in their right mind would trust the IAEA for anything. I trust Israel’s judgment. I don’t even trust my own country’s marxist/muslim/islamist/commie-influenced judgment, anymore.

The scaremongers have been telling us for the better part of two decades that Iran was only months away from the bomb and I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re going to be hearing the same alarms two decades from now.

Two years ago John Bolton said the situation was ‘urgent’. I definitely trust his judgment.. so if anything’s changed, it’s for the worse.

On e you get uranium enriched to 20%, it becomes logarithmacly easier to enrich to higher grades. This is what the centrifuges do. It only takes 6-8kg of highly enriched uranium, or four times that amount of enriched uranium to make a simple Gun type nuclear weapon capable of at least a 20Kt detonation, which will wipe out a good 2 kilometer radius. I believe there is something wrong with this article, the person who wrote it, and the science they used as reference, and I believe it is deliberate. We have known all the physics of what is needed produce nuclear weapons since 1938, and have improved on them to state of the art around the mid-1970s. Iran will have enough HEU to make a make a bomb, and they probably already do.

And HEU is not even necessary to make a dangerous weapon. A large amount of LEU can make a great boom in the low 100t to Kt range too. All the physics and case studies are available on YouTube, Archive.org, your public library and many other places. This article is propaganda catering to stupid people.

Another sire says different...

December 20, 2013

By using the approximately 8,800 first-generation centrifuges operating at its Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant, Iran could theoretically produce enough weapon-grade uranium to fuel a single nuclear warhead in about 1.7 months.

This is part of 0muslim’s plan to advance the murderous, subhuman islamic caliphate (spit), and it’s on-schedule, unless Israel takes it off the table.

I absolutely agree.. and as Freepers we are, we read all the back stories from Jonah Goldberg’s great compilation to Yuri Bezmenov to the Venona Secrets to black liberation theology etc etc. So we know who they are.

Whew! What a relief. The IAEA is on the case to make sure Iran doesn’t cross on of Obama’s red lines.

and we should believe the IAEA... why??

Because they spout the party line that Iran is a benign entity and not to be feared....

Logical fallacy: North Korea got the bomb secretly, therefore Iran was also get the bomb secretly.

That is what you are saying, basically.

But, then again, Iran does have a base known as Area 51IR, IR as in Iran
