Complete Headline: Here comes polar vortex TWO: Just when you thought it was safe to go outside... another blast of Arctic air to hit US next week

If you live in the American Midwest or East Coast, you may want to hold off on putting away your winter gear.

Just as temperatures are beginning to warm in much of the U.S, another arctic blast in the form of a polar vortex appears to be on the horizon.

The upcoming front of icy temperatures is expected to bring arctic air to southern Canada and then move into the northern plains of the U.S. before moving to the Midwest and East Coast - each of which is still recovering from last week's frigid temperatures.

This wouldn't have happened if you would have let us enact a carbon tax!

Thunder yesterday in central Virginia. Thunder in January? Next week the arctic climate returns. Crazy.

Thunderstorms in southern NC yesterday, water over the roads. One of our NC posters said she saw a tornado.

It looks like we’ll have a few days for the floods to subside before the next thing hits.

I actually heard a stupid “educated” liberal say that global warming is what caused the arctic blastswe’re having lately. Did I respond. No. The obvious stupidity hanging in the air and the silence that followed told me he realized what an idiot he was for saying it. These liberals...I don’t think.they think things through to their full conclusions very often...its fun when a liberal outstupids himself...

lol...exactly. I check the Farmer’s Almanac and they predicted a very cold winter. I read that back in September, which prompted me to get the roof replacement scheduled in October and completed in November. It IS Winter, after all.

The GOOD news? For me, at least, the daylight these days is noticeably longer. :-)

I predicted a relatively mild winter based on wasps nests and sqiurels nests

If you add it up, we've (sw Pa) had about two weeks of winter, so far.

"If you live in the American Midwest or East Coast, you may want to hold off on putting away your winter gear."

Because people in the Midwest are so accustomed to putting away their cold weather gear at the beginning of January....
