The 2014 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada will be held January 14th-17th. It is the world's largest gathering of professionals involved in shooting sports, law enforcement, and hunting.

Last time I was at SHOT my gunsmith wouldn’t let me wear my “Am I the only one on the planet who didn’t get guns from the ATF?” t-shurt to flaunt near the ATF booth.
Somebody needs to pick me up a new Remington R-51 handgun there. Such a sweet looking 9mm.
You can't buy firearms to "carry" out the door there.
It was a joke....light humor....a dream. I have attended and know.
Does anyone here know more about this? This is the first I’ve heard of it.

Been going on for a long time. In Daytona it wasn’t unheard of for the cops to stop someone on I-95 and if they were “transporting” a large amount of cash they would “hold” it while they investigated for drug related connections. Very few folks went back lookin’ for the cash. Probably would be able to apply that to firearms as well.
I’m the first guy at my LGS to have a Remington R51 on order. I’ve had a good relationship with the owner since he was a kitchen table FFL. I emailed him and he said come on down. The employees were clueless as even Remington didn’t have the pistol on their website, but the savvy owner set them straight. I’m expecting mine some time between February and June.
