HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Clifford Hall says he's more than happy to pay child support for his 11-year-old son.

"I'm his father it's my responsibility to take care of him," Hall says.

But Hall says when the amount of child support was modified no one told him.

"I discovered for some reason his employer was withholding a large amount some weeks a small amount some weeks a zero amount some weeks," says Hall's attorney Tyesha Elam.

"I didn't want to go to jail basically," Hall says.

So Hall quickly paid almost 3 grand in back child support.

The father of my grandson lives in Florida. The state of Texas has Florida garnish his wages. If they did not, he would never pay a penny in child support. And hi Johnny. It is good to see you.

Really having to take the father to court to force them to pay child support, is sticking it to them.
It would not be an issue if fathers supported their childen.

If I was required to pay child support and did not do so for the same amount of time, or less, as my ex wife has I would not only be in jail but under it.

Yeah, fathers never support their children.

Way to make a blanket statement.

My husband has paid child support for the last 14 years for his three kids and was never late or short with a payment. His ex used the court system as a weapon and continued to make false allegations for the sole purpose of making his life miserable. It’s my guess that this scenario probably occurs more than we would care to admit.

It certainly puts a lot of fear in one’s head; what goes on.

perhaps.

What should really give one pause is the simple fact that, on the average, for the guy the actual served penalties for murder are less than the penalties for divorce.

it sounds like the judge needs to be removed from this courtroom.

Seems to me there's lot of that going around these days.

Average served term for 1st degree murder is 7 years. At the end of which he would have been released debt free...

Yep, even if the divorce was in another state and Texas has nothing to do with the case. And Texas will follow the dad around and collect from banks & employers in other states. But some posters are EXPERTS and you can't tell them anything.
