ABUJA (Reuters) - Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan signed a bill on Monday that criminalizes same-sex relationships, defying Western pressure over gay rights and provoking criticism from the United States.

The bill, which contains penalties of up to 14 years in prison and bans gay marriage, same-sex "amorous relationships" and membership of gay rights groups, was passed by the national assembly last May but Jonathan had delayed signing it into law.

John Kerry recently said that one of the core missions of the State Department is to promote gay rights around the world... guess that’s not working out so well.

Things haven’t been the same in nigeria since my friend and benefactor, Prince Oolulongo was ousted and he had to wire me his family’s fortune. If my bank would just work through the customs declarations and send him that $1400 I authorized, I’d have that money today.

Obama insulted the Dominican Republic by appointing an ambassador with a gay spouse after being told he would not be acceptable.

Wow...small world! I’m getting a share too. I went ahead and bought a nice 23 bedroom home to suit my new lifestyle. I sure hope the check comes through soon though, these taxes and mortgage payments are a killer.

Goodluck is not as swayed by the West as the Ugandan president, Museveni. His country is oil-rich.

All the law does is enshrine marriage as man and woman, as it should be. Leftists goo kookoo for coco puffs again.

So Nigeria has a law that reflects Judeo-Christian morality? And Obama opposes that? No surprise.

It has nothing to do with the constitution, nothing to do with the state depts legal role and it makes us act insane
Congress is responsible for not putting a stop to their actions as extra constitutional.

When jake tapper whines to an individual soldier about our role in Afghanistan, and sweet marky mark doesn’t know how to argue, he enacts to but can’t, luttrell has to defend himself in their arena, it’s an illustration of the situation.

Citizens don’t understand. It is us, and our congress who
Control our country’s role overseas

Nigeria and Afghanistan also Libya know we are a govt by the people. They know its our citizenry that allows these foreign policies and it is our representatives that go overseas

When they kill our embassy staff they mean to attack us representatives, and that is what they’re doing They know it

When Kerry bosses them around telling them to accept sinful destructive practices, that’s us telling them. nigerians don’t expect us to be a dictatorship, bullied by some lawless despot who couldn’t pass the security clearance of an army private.

And you can imprison a Christian pastor in a labor camp, and Kerry won’t give a sh7t... nor will Dennis Rodman.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the DR harshened its laws as revenge.

Why do we have to interfere when countries set moral boundaries? First Russia and now Nigeria. Didn’t these African countries have enough problems with AIDS? Why are we advocating imposing risky behavior? I hate what we’ve become.

Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran get a pass on their gay laws.

Obama’s war on Christians continues unabated, with the full backing of the United States government. If I was Nigeria, I would give Obama the middle finger, and declare him and swiftboat kerry persona non grotta, or something like that.
