Saturday, I had the opportunity to interview Texas Comptroller candidate, Debra Medina, about her race and discuss her ideas on issues such as cronyism, tax policy, immigration, and House leadership. Debra Medina has three Republican primary opponents, including Harvey Hilderbran, Raul Torres, and Glenn Hegar.
Check out all of our interviews with candidates here.

IIRC, I had a meeting/fund raiser in my house for this woman when she was running for another office—can’t remember what it was though—only that she lost.
For those who don’t know her history
Texas Republican gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina imploded on the Glenn Beck radio program this morning when she said she didn’t have an opinion on whether the US government was behind the 9/11 attacks.

So Beck asked her straight up: “Do you believe the government was in any way involved in the bringing down of the World Trade Centers on 9/11?”
Easy answer, right? Nope.
“I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard,” Medina replied. “There are some very good arguments, and I think the American people have not seen all of the evidence there, so I have not taken a position on that.”
I’m not sure who to support.
I watched all of the interviews of Comptroller candidates, except for Torres because I don’t think they have one of him.
Hegar voted for the $25 billion increase in our budget, and justified it pretty weakly.
Nearly half of the bills that came out of Hilderbran’s Ways and Means Committee (the tax committee) were Democrat bills, and he said there was no problem with it.
Another loser.
So, who’s the winner?
Oh no...not that thing again!
Medina was in the 2010 GOP Primary for Gov. against Perry and Hutchinson.
Beck screwed her, for no good reason.
Thanks! I finally remembered—with some help from my friends-—a memory is a horrible thing to lose-—what can I say?
The forgetter seems to be one of the things that gets
better as we get older.
Beck was throwing batting practice, giving her an opportunity to dispel rumors of her nuttiness. It is not his fault that she not only didn't hit it out of the park, but instead hit herself in the head with the bat and ran off the diamond with blood streaming down her face yelling "touchdown."
Posted Pilsner, despite being concerned that a post about a woman that contains the phrase "hit it" will bring a reply by Laz : )
The transcript says different, it was her own belief.
“Beck screwed her, for no good reason.”
No, Beck gave her enough rope to hang herself. He did us a favor by exposing a nutjob.
LOL! Not THAT”S funny (not really to live with) but a funny way to put it.
