I used to watch the weather channel to see what was going on in the rest of the country. But, that was when they actually had weather on. Now, they don’t even have it “on the 8s” anymore. (Not so sure about that, as I don’t watch it, but the last few times I have tried to catch local weather, they never had it...)

I am so old that I remember the end of what was a GREAT CHANNEL... MTV... when they ran their first commercial... Snickers... I knew it was all over.
Channel 361... just one below 362... has a fine weather channel that actually covers... weather.
If I am seriously worried about the weather, I put it on a LOCAL station!

Turned them on for a bit last week. They didn’t talk about global warming but did talk about the money going to Iran, Christiegate and reviewed three new music groups. Had to check twice to make sure I hadn’t turned to CNN in error.
TWC went STRAIGHT donwhill after it was acquired by NBC-Obama.
I have ZERO sympathy for anyone associated with it.
DTV won’t. They swapped out The Weather Nation and aside from butthurt old ladies and news junkies, nobody will give a heck.
I would pay admission to sit in on the negotiations where the DTV representatives are grinning like Cheshire Cats as they show TWC reps what’s now on their old channel. “How much you Einsteins care to bet that maybe 20% of our customer base notices or even CARES?”
I never watch it on Dish.
