I reported this problem on FR yesterday. The ONLY way to stop the other plan from auto-deducting from your account it to move your account to a different and unrelated bank.
Steve’s “husband” Miles.
Couldn’t read any further, queers disgust me.
OOPPPSSS at the 1:10 mark
The Leftist media is loaded with homosexuals.
“Wed worried the GOP would succeed in defunding it or undermining it in some other way that would put affordable coverage further out of our reach.”
1. It’s scary to think people actually believe that.
2. I stopped reading after the first 20 sentances but something tells me this woman never gave the GOP any credit for trying to warn her and stop this mess. All she does is lament her and her husband’s current situation.
Have another glass of champagne dumbass, we tried to warn ya but noooooooooooooooooooo the evil Republicans............................You deserve what’s happening to you.
” My husband, Miles”
So Steve is the wife?
There is good information in this saga.
If nothing else, you can see how any numbers put out by the government must be lies.
The author's name is Steve and he's talking about his "husband", not her husband.
If your intention is to turn off readers STOP!
The information in this article applies to everyone.
One thing remained consistent: Miles medication was not in the formulary anymore. Id never heard that term, either, but its the document in which insurers state what they will cover and at what level.
The part of the article I found most odd was how the wife had to do all the insurance calls and dickering for the husband. I have to wonder why he can’t actually take care of himself. What a batch of pathetic whiners. They wanted something for nothing, and merely got nothing for something as one should expect with such a desire.
Of course the article still ends with their fervent belief in unicorns and pixie dust solutions intact. What utter morons.
Oh, and it’s the insurance companies’ fault.
1. Decoding the text indicates that one of these two has HIV, probably caused by their life style and celebrated by this Administration which scolds for a wide variety of other unhealthy behavior so the additional cost of medications is likely self inflicted. 2. I wonder if Tony Dawson is now unemployed for giving a straight answer to dump the ACA for a private plan.
Gee, the poor little fags are upset because the joint cost of drugs and medical insurance is going to cost him 600 a month. That is what I pay for my individual group plan which my employer pays 40% of the cost. These jerks are blissfully ignorant of what their former employer was paying on their behalf. Worse, they have the temerity to believe that it is the government’s (taxpayers) responsibility to pay for their healthcare so they can pursue their life’s dreams. Sorry sucker, go to work and get your healthcare on your dime, not mine.
How does Steve have the ability to sign Miles up for anything? He is 41 and wants to return to college to get a new career, so he has been on a two year fellowship. These are the Americans who exhibit exceptionalism that the rest of the world hates. And they are whiners. They better get signed up for the Titanic cruise, because the rest have to do so.
Obamacare is dead to me and has been ever since Obama started pushing it. I’ve never been to healthcare.gov and don’t intend to go there. As for my wife and I, bot 60, we’ve just accepted that the US is in a form of “post russian revolution” hell hole and figure we won’t have insurance for the rest of our lives. Ours ended at the end of the year.
This is one of the ways we are going galt and invoking Revelation 18:4.
We will also no longer vote in federal elections. The federal government is also dead to us, though we will continue to file a tax return.
I’m too familiar with this nations history to just lie down like a good lemming and do what the fascists say. It’s why the scariest scene in any movie for me is the first ten minutes of Inglorious Basterds. Eventually they will come, no matter how “small” you are.
It’s husband and husband. I read the entire thing. Nothing new - Obamacare is a giant failure. We told them so.
This is confusing...so it’s husband and husband? Right? Or is there some newly invented terminology for this situation?
Meanwhile, back on the insurance topic...what shocking new development is this? Basically....the 2,000 page law didn’t think to see all the various ways that we utilize health insurance today....in various forms developed by the industry to fit the needs of people. And the government.....knew nothing of the arrangement or the mechanisms already in place? Am I missing anything on this?
A notice to anyone who researches WW II and the initial months of the war. Roosevelt basically “let go” (best wording for it)....all of the players who ran his economy and industry plan since 1933. Virtually all of them had to disappear....to let the real business enterprise in the front door, and allow America to flourish in a way that Roosevelt and his staff could not imagine or allow. It says a lot about the current mess, and why nothing seems to work.
Sorry about that, I was so wrapped up in people thinking the GOP is evil I didnt notice they were gay.
FWIW, As someone pointed out to me, the 2 people in this story are gay.
Thanks, there was so much wrong with this artice I actually missed the gay angle. lol
a Scrooge quote comes to mind........ Obama care will reduce the surplus parasitic journalist Population.
That would be the free lancers like Kirsten Powers that exist by mooching. They have money to pay accountants but not to pay for medicine.
America will be a better place if they just die from lack of medicine and frustration
Talk about slow realization... At least these creeps can read. Can you imagine how hard this will be for the marginally literate?
“The information in this article applies to everyone.”
Yes, it does. People should at least skip to the last page where the author makes the point that if he, who has the time and expertise to deal with things like this, couldn’t make it work, other folks must be having a much harder time.
The drug issue is a huge one, generally even a sick person might avoid going to the doctor - but if you don’t take your needed medicine you’re going to end up in the hospital.
Another thought comes to mind:
“A conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged by reality.”
They may not be there yet but they’re mad as hell and writing about it.
Sometimes they’re the only ones who can cut through the noise made by militant leftists; and through their experience with Obamacare, a few more conservatives could arise from the ashes.
That’s one hell of a long story,
but what I thought was key was they both supported Obamacare because they wanted to quit their jobs where they had insurance coverage and pursue new careers, and that having ACA Obamacare would give them the safety net to do it.
Then they tell the nightmare story that resulted,
Even with the myriad of lies and hurdles they had to clear, they still what Obamascare to work! They are on crack!
I had to look twice at the writer’s name to figure it out. I admit to taking perverse pleasure in their pain. They wanted Obamacare - they got it.
What’s the saying, “a conservative is a liberal who’s gotten mugged”?
The writer may not be a conservative (yet), but he has certainly gotten mugged-courtesy of Obama.
So, this guy thinks it fair to expect an insurance company to issue a policy to “Miles”, despite the screwed up math. He want to pay premiums of $2952/ year AND get coverage for a medication that costs $5256/year. With Miles’ deductible of $1650 annually, the insurance company would still pay $3606 for the medicine, resulting in a net loss of over $600. After that, every single covered medical expense is a negative loss for the insurer.
We’re on the same page!
I wonder how many, who thought that Obamacare would be grand, might be thinking about voting for Ted Cruz (who tried to stop it) in 2016 — about kicking out Dems in 2014.
Given that he's gay, what do you bet that said drug is Valtrex for herpes??? It's the preferred drug, and those with Type II genital herpes use buckets of it. If ZeroCare CMS let the provider take it off the list, this is a howler. If they offered a substitute, it'll probably be Zovirax, which is a lot cheaper.
In the "mean time," that means they both really "need it." Let's hope they stay that way for a good long while. It'll make those future "news" stories a heck of a lot more entertaining.
I think more people are prevented from pursuing careers that would make them "more productive and passionate" out of fear of losing everything they have, and/or of being regulated out of existence by the government.
And hey, here's a news flash for you: MOST people DON'T get to do what they're "passionate" about, they do what there's a demand for, and what they can find someone to pay them for. And it isn't the government's right to make people pay others (through taxes) to do nothing, or to do something they wouldn't otherwise pay them to do.
Oh, wait, I forgot that I was reading a piece written by a socialist.
What's the opposite of an oxymoron?
Stopped right there. I don't need to read anything from someone who lives and supports the homosexual agenda.
Ditto. I missed it too. A prior poster noted that Steve's husband, along with being a worthless emasculated fop, likely has HIV.
Stories like this make me miss being a Republican ... unfettered power, the capability to control the weather, to control the global econmy, to make any AND every liberal utterly miserable ..... all at the push of a button or the flip of a switch. :-)
The depth of liberal stupidity is immeasurable. Maybe this true believer female will one day realize that she’s a useful idiot, but I doubt it. Your hope and change king doesn’t care about you, moron.
“”As we hoisted champagne flutes in the first seconds of 2014, my partner and I””
Stopped reading right there. Thats liberal upwardly hipster speak.
“”””We want the ACA to work; the previous status quo certainly did not.”””””
Caught this at the end. Uhhhh, yes, it was working just fine.
Yep, and don’t forget W and Carl Rove blew up the levee’s! lol
Yes just what America needs. More Progtards free to pursue their dreams of advanced Puppetry degrees and free lance writers blogging about Wymens struggle with the patriarch. That’s why they needed to blow up the healthcare that was working for over 80 % of the population.
Steve actually thinks a monthly loss of at least ($438 minus $246) $212 on just one one prescription before any other treatment makes someone in an extremely high risk lifestyle "precisely the kind of folks they need to make these exchanges work"? These are educated liberals, and they are far stupider than I realized.
I have used insurance for multiple labor and delivery visits (a large but infrequent expense in most people's lives), for two terrible and shockingly expensive family disasters, and for annual routine expenses that are quite minor. Now that we're not having more kids, my insurance company is making money on my family and will continue to do so most years, as it should be. They were there and covered a whole series of surgeries and associated treatments when we had unexpected problems, which is what insurance is for, and I have no problem with them making a profit on average (which will NEVER happen with my family after what they spent, but the point is true in general). To expect Blue Cross to cover someone who will produce an annual loss, for decades, is absurd.
Gee wonder which antiretroviral drug he’s whining about having to pay for?
There are no women involved.
I also noticed the “ his income” would qualify him for Medicaid. If they are married isn’t it THEIR Income. So if hubby #2 makes a living why should they be getting Obamastash money?
Maybe its for prolapsed rectum.
(I am sure we know what that term means but DO NOT GOOGLE)
Well, there have been persistent rumors floating around for years that Obama likes to screw homosexuals. Now we have, ahem, hard evidence.
This a novel???????????????
Yes. Husband and Husband.
Two grown men licking each others fecal matter. (sorry for the visual) And they speak of it like its totally normal... and the media and showbusiness celebrates it like its wonderful. Two grown men... going there... oh its so heart warming... SPIT PUKE!
