Dwayne Breger, director of the division of renewable and alternative energy development at the state's Department of Energy Resources, said the municipal grants will allow cities and towns to tap into existing commercially available technology, including photovoltaics, solar panels and batteries for energy storage, to power emergency services, shelters and elderly housing even if the electrical grid goes down.Uh, they do know in a emergency you need power at police stations, fire stations, etc. all day, not just when they sun is shining. Right? Kinda like the generators they have for such a occasion, already in place.

Theft, plain and simple. You cannot steal the money until you allocate it to some fraudulent project.

Boston radio station was giddy -- their pronunciation: "Deval Patrick is
giving $50M to cities and towns of MA!!!"
I'm thinking -- "Where'd the money come from? The cities and towns of MA, of course." It's simple redistribution and the vote buying.

Let me guess, towns that voted form him will get more money than others. The money they get will be spent on something completely unrelated to “climate change.”
