Read: Matthew 6:25-34
My friend Marcia, the director of the Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf, recently illustrated an important way to look at things. In a newsletter article she titled A Blessed Start, she pointed out that for the first time in 7 years the school began the new year with a surplus. And what was that surplus? A thousand dollars in the bank? No. Enough school supplies for the year? No. It was simply this: A months supply of food in the cupboard.
When youre in charge of feeding 30 hungry kids on a shoestring budget, thats big! She accompanied her note with this verse from 1 Chronicles 16:34, Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Year after year Marcia trusts God to provide for the children and staff at her school. She never has muchwhether its water or food or school supplies. Yet she is always grateful for what God sends, and she is faithful to believe that He will continue to provide.
As we begin a new year, do we have faith in Gods provision? To do so is to take our Savior at His word when He said, Do not worry about your life . . . . Do not worry about tomorrow (Matt. 6:25,34).

When it comes to choices, pleasure always wins out for you. You never sacrifice quality of experience. You are not anxious to try new things. You tend to be both personally and fiscally conservative. You like to be comfortable and safe. For you, there's nothing better than feeling completely cozy. |
Mustard wasn’t a choice of condiments on the burger, and you CAN’T have a burger in Texas without it! LOL! Wattsburger fills the bill! :)
Can’t resist a canteen quiz:
You are edgy, irreverent, and a risk taker. You enjoy anything that’s bold and brash.
You say whatever is on your mind, and you occasionally offend people... but mostly you just entertain them.
You are very unique, and you don’t like following rules. You like to have things done your way.
And just because you do things your way, it doesn’t mean you’re stubborn. You’re the first person to experiment and mix things up a bit.
There is an element if truth in some of that.
Yet I don’t touch fast food.
:)
Good evening, Connie...thank you for the tributes to our troops. *HUGS*
It’s snowing. Thought you needed to know. LOL!
Hope your day went well. Mine has not, but may be settling out now. Homework ahead.
We don’t have a Big Boy here! I love their fresh strawberry pie! mmmm!
I Don't like Burger King

Another fun one. Thanks ever so much for doing these. Seems as though I’m a KFC - my most unfav restaurant. Used to be great - back in the day. Now just CFA for our family. Stay warm and safe.
