One of the amazing things about this movie is that Marcus Luttrell is in it . Yet he did not allow himself to appear in the credits . This man is the real deal , a 100% red blooded American hero . God bless him .

God bless him and his band of brothers.

They did what they could with a cursed mission

And God bless the producers (Marky Mark) for picking it up and getting a good screenwriter

It could’ve been a mess like that wretched saving private Ryan. Yak!

As of yesterday afternoon, the movie “Lone Survivor” had grossed $44,000,000 domestically. Every American should see this excellent, moving, patriotic flick!!! We should turn out by the millions to send a clear message to Obama, his Obamabots, the Democrat Party & Obama’s media low life.....that we the people care deeply about all of our military perssonel. Folks...just go do it....see “Lone Survivor”!!!

Just remember that “every” TV News station in the country....local, national, cable, whatever, and all newspapers, blogs, etc., posts & reports these numbers every Sunday!!!! Support our troops....help destroy Obama and the Democrat Party politically!!! See “Lone Survivor”!!!

I loved the movie but it bothered me in a number of ways.

Why didn’t they have a better means of communicating with friendly forces?

Why were only 2 Apaches on hand for both Army and Marine air support?

Where were the A-10’s, Cobra’s, Kiawa’s and other forms of air support?

I was just really bothered by the limited number of assets these guy had available to them.

It wasn’t the first time that crap happened. obama’s roe have caused more American deaths during his tenure than the whole rest of the war in Afghanistn. And mccrystal, petraeus, and allen helped.
THEY should be tried for war crimes against our troops.

Answer: Obama failed to support our troops in the field!!! Example: You don’t think most Roman Emperors fought their battles directly....they listened to what their Generals said what was needed....gave it to them, and then the Generals went out and took care of business!!! Obama hates the military command and the military in general. He could care less as to what happens to them!!

It also bothered me that he made that decision. The Lone Survivor made the decision to allow their enemies to walk own that mountain. Luttrell sealed the destiny of those 19 people who died. May sound harsh; but that is reality.

What problems did you have with Saving Private Ryan?

I think it happened during Bush’s time in office.

I loved the movie...my only problem is for some reason they put Ted Dansan in it...minor role...

But he’s a libtard and seemed out of place....

Budget was an estimated $40 million, so they’re probably in the black already.

They were operating in a remote area of the Kunar provence in the extreme eastern part of Afgn. They were most likely beyond the reach of Khandahar air assets, relying on support from their Forward Operating Base. Same for their radios, blocked by mountains and distance. They should have had satellite comms though.

Just to make it perfectly clear, this happened in 2005, under Bush’s watch. The house and the Senate were both Republican majority. The amount of troops and assets in Afghanistan were miniscule for the mission because of the Surge in Iraq.

But, to make it perfectly clear, the Obama ROE’s have made it far worse.

If you are basing that OPINION based on the movie, Marcus said himself that the movie people to some liberties with that sequence. But he let it slide. I would wager he let it slide so not to sully the memory or honor of his brothers who are no longer with us. Remember, Murphy was an officer, Marcus was a Petty Officer (enisted). Marcus did not make the decision, Murphy did, as he should considering all of the pros and cons of his TEAM members.

Then, after losing all of his buddies, he comes back (after Iraq), and gets a service dog to help heal. The dog is killed by a bunch of thugs...

Well.....What we know now....more clearly.....of the house and senate....under Bush or Obama....I'm not giving anyone a pass!....and that includes Bush.

Our military has been getting the shafted through many administrations!
