Scandals? What scandals?

Despite facing a pair of controversies worthy of having the word "gate" attached to them, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie remains one of the odds-on favorites to win the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

According to Oddschecker.com, a British website that tracks online bookmakers, Christie and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio are both 5-to-1 favorites to win the GOP nomination, according to one bookmaker. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (9 to 1) and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan (12 to 1) are less favored, while Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (33 to 1) is a popular long shot.

Christie still has a fork stuck in him, but the liberal media refuses to see it.

That, not “Bridgegate”, should have ended Christie’s chances for a 2016 Republican nomination.

At present....Christie can’t win a single southern state. He’s mostly around because he pretends that he can carry New Jersey, and New York in some election....VP material. That’s all. If you were in dire straits as the front Republican in 2016, and absolutely needed to carry those two states...then this all makes sense for him to still stay active.

Based on his character....locking up some lanes on a bridge...I don’t see how anyone would vote for the guy. He’d seek to punish Republicans as much as anyone else. It’s amateur and childish behavior, if you ask me.

Chris Christie remains one of the odds-on favorites to win the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

Then I predict Hillary will be the next president, unfortunately. The media will paise her for the wonderful way she handled Benghazi, saying it is time for a woman president. It is sad, but the lemmings out there will respond, and she will win in one of the biggest landslides in history, possibly winning all 50 states. 10 to 12 million illegals will vote for her. Women by the truck load will vote for her. Millions of dead people will rise from their graves to vote for her, and all of them will vote early and often. It could be the worst case of voter fraud in history, but she is a shoe in. Christie is toast, even this far out.

Ted Cruz or nothing.

Agreed.

Cruz is what every Republican should be, but far too many lack the balls to be. And Cruz should be president.

I unfortunately have to agree with you. The media has such an enormous influence on the elections these days that it’s probably impossible for any conservative to ever win again. Hillary will be the next president.

Not just the Media, but also the entrenchment of identity politics as the driving force behind black and, more importantly these days, Hispanic voting behavior.

It’s next to impossible to conduct any sort of effective outreach when the standards and socialization of your “community” dictate that you vote a certain way in order to be a “true” member ofvthat community.

And now, it's time for . . .

Loser 2016!

. . . starring Chris Christie, Jeb Bush and the other GOP establishment favorites.

After all, why have a conservative who can win, when you can have an insider who will lose to Hillary?

After all, what difference, at this point, does it make?

PING!

If I were them I wouldn’t make “book” on Christie. UK “Bookies” bet on information they get. If they’re following American media then that’s the basis of them playing the odds. Anybody know what we call a “bookie” are called in the UK ? I know it isn’t “bookie”.

No matter WHAT revelations may come out about the mismanagement of the engagement with al-Qaeda at the State Department, Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, still has not had the full onus fall upon Herself.

The lie, that the cause of the eruption was some obscure video that probably, as of September 11, 2012 had been seen by about six people in the entire world, including the maker of the video, was repeated over and over, and even very recently, the NYT would not let this article of faith be shaken from them. It was a planned and coordinated assault, and very possibly was in deeply secret complicity with the State Department itself. The strategy was for the ambassador, Christopher Stevens, to simply be captured, then in a big show of magnanimity, he would be swapped for several high-level al-Qaeda members being held at Guantanamo. But it all went sideways when the coordination went a little awry, and there was unexpected resistance shown by the various factions of Americans who were NOT in on the deal. The decision came from the very top to stop ANY outside rescue effort, and the fact that the people who were there and survived the assault have been kept incognito ever since, tends to support this theory.

“What difference, at this point, does it make?” A great deal of difference, as it shall turn out, because this is still a cover-up that makes Watergate look like a sophomoric prank. That outburst, in the fullness of time, will greatly outrank Nixon’s “I am not a crook!”

Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, really is a crook.

Well, I do not know if this is even related to what is going on, but it took the Russians about 70 years to throw off communism. I wonder how long it will take us to throw it off as well?

It is ‘bookie’. Lived in the UK for the best part of 30 years. Everyone calls them bookies. There are bookies on every main street.

The GOP are picking the most popular and least lively to win candidate. Conservative minded people will stay home again.
