Washington (AFP) - The self-proclaimed mastermind of the September 11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, has released a manifesto claiming that the Koran forbids the use of violence to spread Islam.

Guess he figured that if Americans were stupid enough to elect the Criminal in Chief twice, we would believe anything.
However, many violent and power-hungry Imams espouse the notion that if you're not already following the Koran, you are against it and hurting true believers by setting a bad example. Hence, they feel (and preach) that Muslims are justified in attacking/fighting any non-Muslim. Just another round 'about version of "You're either with us or against us."

This is likely an artifact of trying to translate Arabic to English.
In Islam is forbidden to coerce conversions to Islam - giving the victim a choice between death and conversion is not coercion because they have a choice. In Islam, peace doesn’t mean an absence of violence, it means “submission to Allah.”
This is probably something similar; that or “taqiyya.”
