Maybe stealing was a bad idea after all.
Good Lord, do people employed by the media no longer need to be fluent in the English language?
The father of a black teenager who died after a struggle with three white customers at a West Allis convenience store said Wednesday that the U.S. Department of Justice has agreed to review the case.
Their goal was to intervene and hold him until police arrived. They were restraining him after what was initially a violent encounter. I cant make charges based on popular sentiment. Its got to be based on the facts. Its got to be based on the law and what we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt. If I apply any other standard, Im not doing my job. Im standing by that decision, and accept any criticism that comes along with that, said Chisholm.
I give the DA credit for making an honest statement. I would also add that citizen's enforcing law is not "vigilante". Citizens should be encouraged, if not obliged to step in to stop crime where they reasonably and/or safely can (in my opinion).
Nothing sad about it.
Commit a crime, you do the time! Albeit a bit long for this crime.
I dont know, a little flour and yeast and the rolls will naturally begin growing....

A white reporter saying “Shtruggle”? Has she been hanging out with Moochelle?
No, they must be fluent in MSword/spellcheck.
I love food stamp rolls! That vanilla icing on the top and the cinnamon. Delish!
The kid deserved what he got. Regular working folks are tired of losing their neighborhood stores to hoods. Back in Detroit, there was at least one incidence of black thug teens literally taking over a corner store. I don’t know how that was resolved. The low life may have left the store when it ran out of stuff to steal and eat or drink. Of course the father is on his high horse now, after the fact, having already raised a petty thief. I know sometimes a thief can come from good families too, so the father may not share directly in what a 16 y/o choses to walk around and do. Bottom line is, this would not have happened if he had not stolen, then committed battery by punching one of the customers. These sort of events are the main reason you may find some of those ‘food deserts’ here and there.
Can someone please sell me tear? I can’t seem to muster one.
I’ll pay a shiny nickel!
There is nothing in any of this that indicates in any way that anyone wanted this kid injured of dead. I feel for the kids family but it was the kid who generated this sequence of events by committing a crime.
It did not turn out right or good for anyone. Sometimes there are unforeseen consequences for our actions. When a person breaks the law and are the cause of these unforeseen consequences they are then responsible for the outcome.
There are nothingquite as scrumptious as welfare "rolls"!
Wait! Nebmine! I got dis one free off the interweb. Looks like I get to keep my shiny nickel :D
Roll is correct as used in your example. Just curious, I read the article and watched the video, where was this quote?
A role is something someone plays (actor, participant, etc...). A roll as a noun can be something you eat, or a list of things (payroll, roll call, voter rolls, welfare rolls). As a verb, it is an action taken with an item - rolling the dice.
Bah! what happened to my tear >_<
That’s a perfectly proper use of the word, as in “roll call”, or “welfare rolls”.
