It’s not that they’ve forgotten. You can’t plan to fight the last war. In the future they know they can’t count on the support of the Americans. Kuwait and Saudia Arabia will share a common fate, abandoned by the Americans who seek closer ties with the Persians.

Britain, which makes 37.4% of the Eurofighter, also fought in the Gulf War, so I don’t see how the Kuwaitis have any sought of moral obligation to only buy American.
