Power's mother said that "the sensei told her to 'get used to' gender separation in Canada." Where are the feminists? They have nothing to say about this? Does "multiculturalism," i.e., accommodation of Islamic supremacism, once again trump the equality of rights and dignity of women, even among the self-proclaimed defenders of women's rights?

HALIFAX -- Politicians are scrambling to put a brave face on an ugly situation at a Halifax recreation centre.
Sonja Power, 17, was on the cusp of earning her black belt in Aikido at a Halifax dojo when a new man joined the class. He refused to be in contact with women or to spar with any of the female students.
Power and the other women were told to stay on one side of the room and not to approach the Muslim man to respect his faith.
"I felt like a second class citizen, that I was so disgusting and unworthy that this man doesn't even want to interact with me," Power told QMI Agency. "It doesn't make any sense, why would something you choose, your religion, trump something I'm born with, my gender, we wouldn't let a religion trump someone's race."
The incident happened more than a year ago and Power's mother, Michele Walsh, said she has contacted every level of government but was ignored. She said the sensei told her to "get used to" gender separation in Canada.
A similar situation at York University reignited the issue.
"I don't think anybody's rights should be trampled, so as a person of faith and as a woman I would be offended by this on both sides," said Candice Bergen, minister of state for Social Development speaking in Halifax. "We've seen organizations across the country for decades being able to (compromise) there's no reason this organization and this individual not to be able to do that."
Religion and gender are both protected human rights.
The City of Halifax, which owns the recreation centre, refused to comment citing privacy concerns, but said the city tries to work out human rights concerns between the parties.
Nothing like when competing political correctness agendas clash.
It was a public facility, so the law presumably does not apply ....

Of course, gender has its own trump car, which is homosexuals, and the ace trump, which is being too confused to know what you are or what you like to pursue, on any given day.

It should get interesting when muslims decide that they don’t want homosexuals in their vicinity. I think the Lavender Mafia is screaming louder than the Feminazis these days.
If I was a woman in that class I would demand to practice with the men or get a complete refund. Men tend to be taller and heavier than women and have different centers of mass. How is a woman supposed to realistically practice punches, kicks, and especially throws against likely attacker-sized people? If the Muslim wimp can’t handle it, that’s his problem. My faith is strong enough to survive a few classroom sessions.

EXACTLY. The Feminist Movement grew out in the 1960’s along with the “blame white America for everything” civil rights radicals.
The people behind it, like the people behind the radical movements of the 1960s and after, HATE white Caucasian Christian Males and the western civilization they produced.
Their goal is to TOTALLY destroy western civilization and they view Muslim Monsters as a useful tool to help accomplish this.
It has NOTHING to do with women’s rights.
As for the Muslims, well, hell, they are just behaving like Muslims - infilitrating another society of stupid Dhimmis who really think Islam is a “peaceful” religion and there are “moderate” Muslims who can be “reasonable.
Islam is like NAZISM. You can’t be a “moderate” NAZI and, like NAZISM, it needs to be totally stamped out - not accommodated. If not, start growing a beard, get a burks, throw away your beer, shoot your dog, smash your records, burn your books and pictures and forget about every seeing an attractive woman outside a giant body bag with a mouth hole and eyeslits. Which is kind of a microcosm of the world situation. We will be forced at some point to kill all the moslesm to stamp out this plague called islam.
