The story began when Charles Jacobs ofAmericans for Peace and Tolerance began taking a closer look at some of the textbooks being used in Newton schools in Massachusetts.

The ads cover research by concerned parents and students that has revealed the presence of anti-Israel texts in Newton schools including “The Arab World Studies Notebook,” which claims that Israeli soldiers murdered hundreds of Palestinian nurses in Israeli prisons; “A Muslim Primer,” which claims that astronaut Neil Armstrong converted to Islam, but that the anti-Muslim U.S. government warned him “to keep his new religion to himself or he could be fired” from his government job; “Flashpoints: Guide to World History,” which asserts that Tel Aviv, not Jerusalem, is the capital of Israel, and that Jerusalem is the capital of “Palestine”; and other materials.

And then there’s the Arab World Studies Notebook

Includes Poem by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish about Jews: “The usurper’s flesh will be my food/Beware – beware – of my hunger/and my anger!”

Muzzy mouth breathers lie better than Bammy. They are doing the same thing they did in 889, rear-ending goats, molesting kids, and screwing up the world.

The first claim is possible if ‘discover’ means that some roam Arabs got to the Western Hemisphere. Little as I like them I have to acknowledge that the sand sailors took to the oceans like the proverbial ducks and within a hundred years of conquering North Africa were swarming over the Med and raiding far and wide on the Atlantic coast of Europe. As with the Vikings, we have no real idea how far they sailed but wherever it was they left no permanent legacy behind (happily) on this side of the ocean. The reports of Iroquois Arabs comes out of some Muzzy’s terminal orifice.

This weird item might be a tip off as to why suspect troll Northmoutain is so sensitive about the Arabs.

The ADL is anti-Semitic. The ADL would have started up the gas chambers if the Nazis asked them to.

ADL - “OffenJuden” in disguise.

Perhaps some Deformed, oops Reformed, Rabbi might point out a certain Commandment regarding ‘false witness’.

Or not.

Probably, not.

How bad are some of these materials? Take a look at A Muslim Primer which claims that…

Claims that the best way to understand Islam is through writings of Sayyid Qutb, the father of modern Islamic extremism whose writings inspired Osama Bin Laden [pp. 132-3]

I would say that this is an inadvertently correct statement.

This from the frequently left leaning Wikipedia:

“Since the early 1980s, Armstrong has been the subject of a hoax saying that he converted to Islam after hearing the adhan, the Muslim call to prayer, while walking on the moon. The Indonesian singer Suhaemi wrote a song called “Gema Suara Adzan di Bulan” (”The Resonant Sound of the Call to Prayer on the Moon”) which described Armstrong's conversion; the song was discussed widely in various Jakarta news outlets in 1983.[135] Other similar hoax stories were seen in Egypt and Malaysia. In March 1983, the U.S. State Department responded by issuing a global message to Muslims saying that Armstrong “has not converted to Islam”.[136] However, the hoax was not completely quieted; it surfaced occasionally for the next three decades. A part of the confusion stems from the similarity between Armstrong's American residence in Lebanon, Ohio, and the country Lebanon which has a majority population of Muslims.” -wiki

Here is the ADLs response to the ads....sorry, PDF....

http://newengland.adl.org/files/2013/12/APT-Ad-12-30-13-2-docx-2.pdf

“While APT’s ad suggests that Newton uses the volume, “The Arab World Studies Notebook” as a textbook to teach hate and extremism, it emerged that the reading that was singled out for criticism was highlighted by one teacher who used it on a sole occasion in 2011 when it was actually used to teach about bias, and not in the context of advancing a political viewpoint. “The Arab World Studies Notebook” has since been removed from Newton schools...

....While ADL would not support its use in a classroom to teach about world religions, we also would not advocate for its censorship for availability from a library. We have been assured by Newton school officials that it is not being used as a text in classrooms...”

So, it sounds to me like the ADL isn’t really supporting the book, it is just opposing “censorship” in general.

Though I would argue that refusing to spend tax dollars to put a book in school libraries is NOT censorship.

The ADL head and its board, infected with Marxist brainwashing or swelled heads perhaps, lost their way a number of years ago, with a bad case of denial of the fact that Islamic Jihad is the biggest threat to the world today - year, including Jews and that the threat must be stated explicitly and countered for what it is. ADL is still chanting “Kumbayah” with Islam in its brochures and the thrust of its programming. “Denial” is not a river in Egypt. Denial is what keeps the ADL from being at all effective against the threats facing all of us in this generation.

Thus making it doubly weird.

If you check posts, many seem over the top attempts to 'blend', yet don't jibe with his tirade.

Bears a bit of watching.
