Read: John 11:30-37
Two men were killed in our city on the same day. The first, a police officer, was shot down while trying to help a family. The other was a homeless man who was shot while drinking with friends early that day.
The whole city grieved for the police officer. He was a fine young man who cared for others and was loved by the neighborhood he served. A few homeless people grieved for the friend they loved and lost.
I think the Lord grieved with them all.
When Jesus saw Mary and Martha and their friends weeping over the death of Lazarus, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled (John 11:33). He loved Lazarus and his sisters. Even though He knew that He would soon be raising Lazarus from the dead, He wept with them (v.35). Some Bible scholars think that part of Jesus weeping also may have been over death itself and the pain and sadness it causes in peoples hearts.
Loss is a part of life. But because Jesus is the resurrection and the life (v.25), those who believe in Him will one day experience an end of all death and sorrow. In the meantime, He weeps with us over our losses and asks us to weep with those who weep (Rom. 12:15).
Hi Everybody!
((((HUGS))))
Have a Blessed Sunday!
Good evening, Mayor, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
We hit the low 40s earlier today, but it has dropped to 34 and started to rain again. I hate this!! At least I got all the ice chopped and off the deck.
Ya, it’s getting pretty nasty there. Temps will abate a bit to 101F or so LOL - trying to stay cool. The walk from home to office of four blocks is something. Have to do it in the cool of the morning 95F at 6am. Can’t fly much past 2pm due to low density of the air.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours, Kathy ...((HUGS)) Maddi feeling much better. She takes her meds OK with only a slight wimper.
That was going to be one of my next questions....can it be too hot to fly? I guess so.
Be careful. And don’t pass out from the heat getting to or from work.
One day this kid will be Chief of the Boat.
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
Did you and Lynn-Dah get out to any sales today? Any treasures?
Did the Biker Band practice today?
Yeah, it’s pretty bad. Very low humidity too, ten percent. What happens is when it gets very hot the air molecules are further apart (low density) and therefor not enough flow over the wings, no lift. Right now it’s cooled down, finally. We’re at 99F ....LOL
