As Wendy Davis touts life story in race for governor, key facts blurred
The Dallas Morning News ^ | 1-19-14 | Wayne Slater

FORT WORTH — Wendy Davis has made her personal story of struggle and success a centerpiece of her campaign to become the first Democrat elected governor of Texas in almost a quarter-century.

While her state Senate filibuster last year captured national attention, it is her biography — a divorced teenage mother living in a trailer who earned her way to Harvard and political achievement — that her team is using to attract voters and boost fundraising.

The basic elements of the narrative are true, but the full story of Davis’ life is more complicated, as often happens when public figures aim to define themselves. In the shorthand version that has developed, some facts have been blurred.

Re: A single mother working two jobs, she met Jeff Davis, a lawyer 13 years older than her, married him and had a second daughter. He paid for her last two years at Texas Christian University and her time at Harvard Law School, and kept their two daughters while she was in Boston. When they divorced in 2005, he was granted parental custody, and the girls stayed with him. Wendy Davis was directed to pay child support

Gadzooks! Unless she is caught in bed with two 12 years old boys or strangles a nine-year old Black quadriplegic girl on the Capitol steps... this will never see the light of day in the Democrat Party or drive by media--

And then they would present it as a triumph of the new, progressive woman Republicans have a war upon... one who won't stand in the way of her kids best interest!

Well we knew that she can talk for a long time standing and pee in a can. We now know she is a slut who slept around and abandon her children for personal gain....and all of this information comes to light without Abbot and the GOP firing a round! I must say I think it’s poetic justice for the lefty’s to do with their money what she did in the can strapped to her leg!

On the other hand, perhaps she did her daughters a favor by skipping out of their lives.

Job 39:13-17: 13 Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?

14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,

15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.

16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear;

17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

Yeah, this article is actually pretty damaging. Ditching her kids is going to cost her some support she has with working mom swing voters (at least in theory anyways). I'd think a lot of female voters would see this as a turn-off but then again, I'm a man so what do I know?

She may not have the Hispanics. Hispanics in Texas are in general more conservative than in other states.

She abandoned her children for personal ambition, although she apparently did pay child support. When males do this, they get raked over the coals.

People in Fort Worth may go for her, and that’s our only Republican city left in Tx.

////////////
If they do, then I would say that we don’t have any Repub cities (of any size) left in Texas!

But the Liberal media has re-created her as the Second Coming of Joan of Arc!

“all this information comes to light...”

My thought exactly. And in the Dallas Morning News no less.

The article does shed a certain amount of light on the public narrative.

There is Dem election fraud NATIONWIDE.

Put foxes in charge of the hen houses, and even sound election integrity laws can be bypassed.

What I meant is that of the top seven cities in TX, only Fort Worth is generally Republican. It’s only so much longer that Lubbock, San Angelo, and Nacogdoches, and similar sized places, can hold back the socialist deluge.

There are Hispanic counties in south Texas that vote routinely 75 percent Democrat, and Republicans don’t even contest county offices.

I just think Abbott is trying already to sit on a lead, the way Nixon did in 1968.

Dallas is “blue”, but Dallas County is still barely competitive. There is a liberal Republican running for Congress in Lubbock trying to oust the conservative stalwart Randy Neugebauer.

Ah, “blur” is the new democrat word for “lie.”

They keep coming up with new ones so fast, it’s hard to keep up!

So basically Wendy Davis was unfaithful to the man who had selflessly supported her and her children for 20 odd years.

As she left them to go to collage, and even after she abandoned them all together with the x-husband she cheated on.

I guess its easy to see why Wendy Davis is so ‘pro-abortion’ she don’t seem to care very much for the responsibilities of motherhood whenever they might conflict with her personal ambitions.
