While 2013 was a year of Second Amendment advocates on defense, 2014 is lining up to be a year of gaining ground on gun rights.
President Obama continues to issue his dictates. Michael R. Bloomberg is still throwing around millions of dollars. And Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is just keeping a finger in the dike on Capitol Hill until the midterms. But the American people are ready to get back to strengthening their rights to keep and bear arms.

I like what Gun Owners of America said about his chief opponent Steve Stockman: he enjoys fighting and is an activist like Cruz who gets out of bed thinking, Which liberal head can I make explode today?
Gimme a Ted Cruz over a RINO any day of the week.
I hope that all Texans reading this will send some money to Mr. Stockman! I believe he’s the real deal, and am supporting him all I can.
“I hope that all Texans reading this will send some money to Mr. Stockman! I believe hes the real deal, and am supporting him all I can.”
Already done. Am awaiting my bumper stickers.
BTW, non-Texans can contribute as well.
Either is an improvement. I am going with Stockman, as with him we finally get someone going after Albert Kinsey’s public policy legacy.
About damned time someone took out the NAMBLA trash.
As soon as I organize my financial situation, I expect to be contributing by the end of this month.
The primary is March 4th, so Stockman can use the help now....
Targeting Cornyn is a good start.
I smell a runoff in the making.
Yes they can!
The goal is to defeat Corynan, who is certainly NOT our friend! I’m sure Mr. Stockman will appreciate all donations.
Stockman can count on my vote!
When I see the attack ads against Stockman....I think to myseff, if they are trying this hard to smear his name, he’z the guy that will get my vote.
You’d be surprised how many millions of uninformed Texans will believe the Cornball ads they see, or at least desperately want to believe.
Stockman sounds crazy enough to be great...I’m just afraid he’d be crazy enough to say a raped woman can’t get pregnant or some such.
If there can be a runoff, the Stockman people will go en mass to Stovall if he is second, but I think Stockman will run a weak second to Cornball.
“Which liberal head can I make explode today?”
I found my new tagline!
Save your money. Stockman doesn’t have a prayer.
Youd be surprised how many millions of uninformed Texans will believe the Cornball ads they see,
It will only take somewhere about 700K at most to win the
based upon the 2012 voting and this isn’t a presidential year.
The point is to force a runoff, then take Cornyn down regardless. Stockman has name recognition and voting record in the house.
Stovall is a good candidate and he'll do well against Cornyn if he comes in second.
but I think Stockman will run a weak second to Cornball.
I know you follow politics closely and have a lot of info. Who do you think
has the best chance to face Cornyn in a runoff? I know you said Stockman a weak
second but do you think one of the other six may actually come in second. I guess
ultimately the object is get the race into a runoff.
Remember Cornyn voted for cloture (with McConnell and McCain and for Obamacare) against Cruz back in September. That was the show vote (Cruz alluded to these RINO show votes with Rush in his radio interview after his filibuster) that counts and the one I will remember here in Texas.
Cornyn is running scared based on his TV ads.
| John Cornyn claims to be the 2nd most conservative member of the Senate.
Yet, as Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, he
hand-selected these "Republican" candidates:
and hid behind a meaningless vote later.
Stockman may be the “real deal”, but why no ads, no nothing ? The only time I see anything about Stockman is here on FR.
Reckon he thinks publicity is un-needed? Just a strawdog for Cornyn?
ultimately the object is get the race into a runoff.”
That would be step one which we must accomplish. Answer to prayer would be that Cornyn doesn’t make step one.
Uh—ads cost money, and at this point, he’s virtually unknown, although I think he’s on the TEA party’s good guy list.
Cornyn is an example of too long in Wahsington. When he was on TX supreme court - very conservative and that’s why he got elected to senate. He did not take a path of hard nose in Washington like Cruz, so his legal training of getting to a good result has turned him into a center right rather than conservative. As for Stockman - or Spoookieman - this guy is a lose cannon with more problems that anyone who ahs ever run for senate. I’d bet he is running to get a campaign chest to feed his future - he has said he was leaving congress long before this run.
Stockman is local to SETX and from what I can find he has almost no money.
His last report showed some $32,000 in cash with over $160,000 in debts.
The FEC is reviewing campaign contributions from an Indian Tribe and recently
fired two staff members for illegal donations. Some PACs show contributions
but aren’t shown as reported by his filings. Stockman apparently runs
a loose ship or hires incompetent workers.
I will be voting for Stockman in the primary.
I think Cornball will win 65 percent upfront, same as McConnell. I wish it were not so. What is your thinking? I imagine I’ll vote for Stockman, but I think he would lose the general election. Stovall would be okay, but he would lose the general election too in my opinion. And I don’t even know who the Democrat candidate is.
I'll support Stockman and hope he takes Cornpone in a run-off.
The dems have the following in their primary and I don’t know them either.
Michael Fjet Fjetland
I’m not in TX any longer so I don’t have a real feel for the campaign. Like
you I think Cornyn will win in the primary without a runoff. Stockman
may be the nearest challenger but he’s not senator material imo. Others
obvisiously have a different opinion.
Thanks for your response.
Wait...till Sheriff Joe reveals his work
“Save your money. Stockman doesnt have a prayer.”
Bet on FR you were saying the same thing about Ted Cruz
Pathetic, go back into you hole
In 28 days Texas will know a lot more about who is in and who is out.
The NRA is standing on the sidelines while Cornyn and Democrats work out the fastest way to get 12 million undocumented Democrats to vote.
The GOA gets involved in other issues like immigration and Obamacare. Amnesty means more lapdog Democrats who dont care about gun rights.
