While 2013 was a year of Second Amendment advocates on defense, 2014 is lining up to be a year of gaining ground on gun rights.

President Obama continues to issue his dictates. Michael R. Bloomberg is still throwing around millions of dollars. And Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is just keeping a finger in the dike on Capitol Hill until the midterms. But the American people are ready to get back to strengthening their rights to keep and bear arms.

Remember Cornyn voted for cloture (with McConnell and McCain and for Obamacare) against Cruz back in September. That was the show vote (Cruz alluded to these RINO show votes with Rush in his radio interview after his filibuster) that counts and the one I will remember here in Texas.

Cornyn is running scared based on his TV ads.

John Cornyn claims to be the 2nd most conservative member of the Senate.
Yet, as Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, he
hand-selected these "Republican" candidates:
  • Arlen Specter - Democrat
  • Charlie Crist - Democrat
  • Lincoln Chafee - Democrat
  • Lisa Murkowski - Independent
Also, when he had a chance to stop ObamaCare by supporting Ted Cruz' filibuster
he FAILED
and hid behind a meaningless vote later.

Stockman may be the “real deal”, but why no ads, no nothing ? The only time I see anything about Stockman is here on FR.

Reckon he thinks publicity is un-needed? Just a strawdog for Cornyn?

guess
ultimately the object is get the race into a runoff.”

That would be step one which we must accomplish. Answer to prayer would be that Cornyn doesn’t make step one.

Uh—ads cost money, and at this point, he’s virtually unknown, although I think he’s on the TEA party’s good guy list.

Cornyn is an example of too long in Wahsington. When he was on TX supreme court - very conservative and that’s why he got elected to senate. He did not take a path of hard nose in Washington like Cruz, so his legal training of getting to a good result has turned him into a center right rather than conservative. As for Stockman - or Spoookieman - this guy is a lose cannon with more problems that anyone who ahs ever run for senate. I’d bet he is running to get a campaign chest to feed his future - he has said he was leaving congress long before this run.

Stockman is local to SETX and from what I can find he has almost no money.
His last report showed some $32,000 in cash with over $160,000 in debts.
The FEC is reviewing campaign contributions from an Indian Tribe and recently
fired two staff members for illegal donations. Some PACs show contributions
but aren’t shown as reported by his filings. Stockman apparently runs
a loose ship or hires incompetent workers.

I think Cornball will win 65 percent upfront, same as McConnell. I wish it were not so. What is your thinking? I imagine I’ll vote for Stockman, but I think he would lose the general election. Stovall would be okay, but he would lose the general election too in my opinion. And I don’t even know who the Democrat candidate is.

I am sick of Cornyn's fake, non-stop, *conservative creds" ads. He rolls 'em out every election. This time, he's pulled out all stops and has borrowed some tips on how to attack your opponent from his BFF Midge McConnell. No thanks.

I'll support Stockman and hope he takes Cornpone in a run-off.

The dems have the following in their primary and I don’t know them either.

David Alameel
Maxey Scherr
Michael “Fjet” Fjetland
Kesha Rogers
Harry Kim

I’m not in TX any longer so I don’t have a real feel for the campaign. Like
you I think Cornyn will win in the primary without a runoff. Stockman
may be the nearest challenger but he’s not senator material imo. Others
obvisiously have a different opinion.

Thanks for your response.

Here's a 4 page article about Stockman that delves into his past which a lot
of people don't know. I was in his district when he defeated Jack Brooks
in 95 and then lost to Nick Lampson the following election. Stockman
flies under the radar a lot as this article points out. The author I know
nothing about but he is from Austin so that may say something.

Pathetic, go back into you hole

The NRA is standing on the sidelines while Cornyn and Democrats work out the fastest way to get 12 million undocumented Democrats to vote.

The GOA gets involved in other issues like immigration and Obamacare. Amnesty means more lapdog Democrats who dont care about gun rights.
